Receeding Tissue

You will see polyps start to come out after removing carbon. After they recover about 2 weeks, you can put carbon back in for a couple of days and then take it out again.
If you have sps peeled off from base, you should not run carbon continually for weeks. I would run carbon continually when I have a heathy SPS tank.

I want to say thank you all for your help. I think I found the problem.

So I have 2 refractometer, 1 salinity reader, and now a milwaukee salinity tester.

I always had a feeling something was off because they don't all ready the same.

1 refrac said its 1.030
1 refrac said its 1.026
Pinpoint says 1.021

So I bought the milwaukee and it arrived today. It confirms what the pinpoint shows. My salinity is low :( I will need to slowly raise it back up hoping that it won't affect the sps significantly.

Again, thank you everyone for your input. I am finding r2r seems to be a more friendly forum.
