I'm also on well water with high CO2. I just want my water done so I go through the RO and then a casion and anion then to a mixed bed. The only thing I really need to do is run the anion through lye water every four or five batches of water.

If you don't mind going through the hassle, whatever works for you. I find this to be best for me and saves time I don't really have and I don't have to use lye or any other potentially harmful chemicals which are another cost, just another brute can and small pump
