+1 vote corallineThe red stuff? Looks like coralline algae. It calcifies and is hard as rock. Good one. Sign of a maturing tank.
I do 3-4 gallon water changes. I was doing them weekly but as life kicks me right in the face, I do get to it twice a month. I dose 1ml vibrant twice a week, feed with reefroids once a week. I also use All Seas Marine Replenisher, once I put this in my tank the coralline started showing up. I have a stock Evo 13.5 tank, no skimmer do you think a duncan would do good with that light? As Fish Think Pink pointed out, you can try with the easy ones. Duncan, Stylopora, Birdnest or so, you will likely want to be able to test and dose calcium, alkalinity and magnesium in the future, and for now rely on water changes.
No I hit it with a toothbrush and it didn't come off.Not completely sold on it being coraline. Does it come off easily?
