Nice. Mine is just encrusting and isn't really showing much verticle growth. Where do you have your placed in the tank?

That's how mine was it had to encrust the whole plug. The higher the placement the less green base I get with my red planet

Nice growth! Now that's it's got some vertical growth, it'll take off on you. You'll probably have a nice mini colony in another 6 months! 1smile1

Thanks for the good words guys!!! I posted the same thing on that other site and got nothing but negative comments. Guess that's why I like this site better!!!!

Seeing something grow like your red planet did is really one of the more rewarding things about this hobby. Congrats on the growth. It looks great!

I bought one at Max and it has doubled in size (it's encrusted over the plug and on to the rock) but no verticle growth yet!!! That's some awesome growth you got their, how'd you do it

I have no idea? I have put my tank through two mini crashes, the first time, I over dosed ALK 6.5 to 12 in two days the second time I installed baffles in my sump and used GE type II, it killed a lakers monti, setosa, green w/ purple tip acro and completly bleached a ORA purple stylo and tri color poci. One thing I have learned is, if the base has a surface to encrust on the coral apears to be happier.

@ Dowtish
Thank's, I just wish I lived closer to Nashville. I've only been in TN for 5 yrs and it's taking some time geting acoustomed to living in a small town coming from Miami.

That is a sign of a healthy tank, love to see growth like that from practically nothing.
