Has anyone successfully kept Red planet under Radions ? I cant seem to keep them. I have 20 other sps and they dont have any problems. Mostly my red colored acros have problems. Any insights ?

The typical problem i have is they either fade to pink if i put higher up. And dark red/brown when i put at the bottom.

Tank params:
Ammonia/ Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 0
phosphate - 0
Potassium - 375
iodine - 0.06
Fe - 0
Calcium - 420
Alk - 8.5

This was my RP about a year under Led's

Increase your no3 with just a touch of po4
Miracles will happen

If you feed frozen foods normally buy a container of pellets to feed on top of that it's easier to control how much your feeding with pellets

Depends on how many fish you have.
You can try to increase no3 with food but it is a longer process to go through the cycle before being converted to no3
Potassium nitrate is what I use to keep my tank around 5 ppm
My po4 testing shows 0 but triton shows .014 to .018 po4

can you please put a link to potassium nitrate and how much to dose. I have 300 gallon volume.

One of the members here suggested to use "sachem flourish nitrogen" I have started using it a week ago but has not tested since due to busy schedule. I may be able to do it tonight. I am running an ultra low nutrient system with 0 NO3 and 0 PO4. Hopefully it helped. Also get a potassium test kit just to make sure you're potassium is at safe level.

Light schedule is 12 hours. I've got it set at 20k 90% intensity (been lowering it lately...target is 80%). Haven't tested for Nitrate (I don't test that regularly as long as things look good) and I haven't checked PO4 recently bc I've been on vacation, but I usually have PO4 around .03

I know multi people with this coral and just over night it just whites out. Just happened to me coral was doing great bam gone all white. My other acros are fine and the mother colony. But this has happened to three people with that coral

I have a Red Planet that is doing great under Radions. Color is a nice rich red. A little bit of green on the growth encrusting edge.

I run the Apex 20k Profile on the Radions at about 72% max.

Take a peek on my webcam... its on the right side of the tank in the middle. www.o2manyfish.com/camera.htm

I have the same problem, totally a brown planet. I've had the same issue under AI LEDs and radio station, so it's me I'm sure. No3 is 2-4ppm, po4 is .02ppm. High light it goes a bit pink, but lower it just looks brown.
