Red planet under Radions LED ?

Hey Dave. How long do you run 20K at 72% ? Do you just have blues on before/ after your 20K profile? WHat % and for how long.. Thanks so much

I never had a problem with RP under Radions. Seemed to love them more than any other sps i had.
Had it right in the middle of the tank. Like any sps, as long as it's getting plenty of light you're good to go.
Brand of light doesn't matter.
Here's two different colonies in the same tank.

And it grows pretty much the exact same under my MH/T5 setup.
But like most sps, a bit tighter growth pattern.

Your Parms... look fine To me you need a bit of nitrate and po4 ,... My red planet is the same give it time it will get used to the light and coulor up,. It happend when I whent from radions, back to t5/ led hybrid.... Easiest way for me to increase no3 is to dose an amino acid supplement, I use fuel ,... But there are many... It's been 5 months it whent from very light pink now slowly going red...

Sure experts can chime in but I think iron effects red colors not sure about potassium, to use patasium by test kit and follow directions on bottle... And test again until happy I use zeo test kit and zeo potassium works for me...( I don't follow zeo method).

What is your bio load in the 300 ?

can you please put a link to potassium nitrate and how much to dose. I have 300 gallon volume.
seachem flourish nitrogen.
10ml will give you roughly .5ppm nitrate. i have 300 volume as well.

i have to dose 10-15ml a day.
i have roughly 430 potassium. dark red/purple. no green. 400 par.

I have a RP under radion gen 1 and its doing pretty good it took a while to get adjusted from mh to led but it has started to grow and get a nice red coloration i have 0.02 - 0.05ppm phosphate and I keep nitrate at 0.25 - 0.50ppm and i have a radiant color set at 70% max

you must have heavy nutrient export. rather than dosing, it might help to back off on pellets, carbon dosing etc.

To the OP I will tell you that most likely your PO4 isn't 0. I never tested the po4 because i always let the LFS do it. Well after a triton test PO4 was 3 to 4 times the acceptable limits .117. Funny thing is my LFS always read it at 0 with a test kit. It wasn't until i received the triton test results that i know the zero reading was BS.

This is my two cents. I control Nitrates and Po4 with a ATS and GFO now. I change the GFO ever week to two weeks.

I'm running Chinese P.O.S. Boxes over my 125. Lighting schedule is below.

I noticed that your nitrate and phosphate are pretty much non existant. Perhaps the Rp is just being starved due to your low nutrient system. Try target feeding it more and place it somewhere high in the tank to make sure it gets a good amount of light.

I purchased a red planet 1'' frag about a month ago under my Taotronic LED(nothing special) and it has encrusted close to a 1'' diameter over the nearby rock and color looks good. I did start dosing potassium nitrate in the last month and have seen only positive results in my coral. i wish you luck i would thing steady numbers are key, and as mentioned previously by someone else having some no3 and po4 can be beneficial.

My red planet is still a nub under T5's. Been in there for 2 years. Just encrusted a bunch.
