The display seem on my Red Sea 250 blew within minutes after noticing several sand particles filling the bottom middle seam. 4-5 years old. Captured 80% of the water by the time I grabbed an empty brute trash can and currently housing my livestock and rock in another trash can. Hardwood floors may be ok however my spirit is shattered.

Going to grab a big enough breeder tank today to house my e Marco’d rock work with over 20 nems on it. I contacted Red Sea and awaiting a reply. Pics /video attached 1C524D06-0E6C-4985-8AFB-B13AE7394A47.png E116C13F-D0ED-43C6-B122-EAE8405B9885.png

This is REDICULOUS. More cases of this than I can remember with Red Sea product!

I think it may be wise for all who have failed Red Sea tanks to get to gather and hire an attorney for a class action lawsuit.

And you should be.
Is this common? I didnt see anything about this stuff when I was searching for my first tank and LFS said red sea was great! Of course I didnt know about R2R then as I was new

Yes it is common. just ask @brandon429. I think he's keeping a database of Red Sea failures.

Trust is earned. Never trust the local fish store until they've earned it!

Oh yeah I learned that the hard way!! Sucks being a noob and not knowing what I know now. I will keep a close eye on the tank and get in touch with him if some ****ola happens to my tank… better not I love my fish

even if they warranty it, i would get rid of it and buy from a reputable company. big deal if they replace the tank, the damage done if you didnt catch it would be thousands. cant understand why anyone would have a red sea in there house.

Because some of us spent thousands before this problem arose and we don't just have thousands to throw at another tank?

I'm curious about something...

Did this failure happen suddenly or did it begin as a drip and become progressively worse?
