Red Sea Fail, very harsh!! But truthful IMO.

One issue is that there have been seam breaks on some of the smaller tanks as well. But supposedly, the brace 'fixes' the issue in the larger tanks. But - the G2 versions have upgraded stands and tanks.

There’s a few of these threads. While I’m not going to go down the rabbit hole of the Red Sea conspiracy theory. I acknowledge that there have been issues based on all these posts. The only things I’m questioning about your statements are the glass thickness claim (are the rs tanks currently made with thinner glass than other manufacturers of similar tanks in similar sizes?) and customer service. I have not heard much in the way of horrible customer service in regards to original owner in warranty period (and some that were up to two years over warranty) tanks. I have heard multiple horrible customer service complaints for out of warranty coverage especially second hand tanks.
Edit. I should clarify realistic customer service complaints. While we all feel that if a tank leaks that the manufacture should send out a white glove team to clean everything up, repair/replace the flooring, provide and install a complete turnkey system full of mature corals and livestock while they offer you an ice cold beverage, a hot meal and a massage…..that’s just not how it works.

glasscages.com is an amazing company and Joe is a fantastic guy to work with to design your own one of a kind aquarium. He uses thick glass and are built to last. And he stands behind his tanks. No need to buy a RSR if there is a better option out there. Plus I really enjoy building my own custom stand and canopy.

I had it maybe 18-24 months, the guy before me had it a year. It was in immaculate shape when I got it, the guy took great care of everything he owned.

Do yourself a favor now, buy a two pack of the Zircon leak detectors now and do not wait. Put one on either side of the stand.

PS - just something I thought of - the word on the street is that this happens to all versions of 'rimless' tanks. Were that the case - I would assume that the leak would be on the sides - near the upper edges. Instead - seems like it's the middle seam in some tanks (on the bottom) - which would not have anything to do with being Rimless or not.
