Finally got around to posting my video. This is my new Red Sea Peninsula 650 tank that I've had setup cycling and been a work in progress since the pre-preorder.
Here is the day the sand and rock was added right before the cycle.

First video is before most of the livestock was in.
Second one is closer to the state that the tank is in now. Tangs, clowns, nems, corals, etc!
I'll be adding more info about the build once I have some more free time.

Good looking tank! Great work!

Nice!!! Looking forward to the progress.

Good looking tank! Great work!
Thanks guys! I built the canopy when I preordered the tank, so I had that 6 foot long black coffin sitting in my garage gathering dust for probably 6-8 months.... Glad to finally have it going. Had an issue with the ATO last night the float switch has a pinhole size hole and it was clogged with hair. Too many pets in my house... I wouldnt recommend Kalk in this ATO. Probably clog every other day.

Sometimes I see a dog hair in the tank.... I feel like he's up to something.
Oh I'd be lucky if it was A dog hair. This was a full blown hairball...on a string...er hair... I have two dogs and 3 cats... And a 2 year old. Open top tank is probably the worst idea...

Nice looking tank and following along! Looking forward to watching you fill it with live stock.

I’ve got the Max S 650 and the ATO in that had the same issue so I had to connect a small hose to the inlet and ‘blow’ through it as instructed by my Samaritan on speed dial at Red Sea. Worked a treat actually and cleared immediately. I’ve actually now got Tunze hooked up as ATO with a large RO reservoir so the inbuilt one now acts as backup.

I was thinking of doing this with the Tunze and have it top up the top up reservoir! Decided to scratch that idea. The built in reservoir seems to last me a week, I'll have to figure something out if I want to take a vacation... If you unscrew the float valve from the sump and take it apart which is pretty simple just be careful because its all plastic, you can easily get crud out of it. At least for mine.

Thank you. I'll get more shots of it up soon.

Hard to get a good picture of these guys cause they move so fast but heres a few shots of the fish in my tank!
Current stocklist is:
Purple tang
Foxface rabbit fish
yellow eye kole tang
maculiceps tang
desjardini tang
bengaii cardinal
two black and white occe clowns
1 chromi
and I think I still have a peppermint shrimp? Havent seen him in a while.

Did a probably 35 gallon water change this weekend, and was messing with my chaeto fuge. Does anyone know how to prevent algae from growing on the chaeto? Its a very hairy mat of algae on the chaeto. Chaeto seems fine doesnt seem to be choking it out but I'd rather the chaeto be growing than the hair algae. Does this indicate too much light? Will this eventually stop when there is enough chaeto to outcompete the other algae? Recommendations would be great for this.

Raised my fuge light a bit. Its one of those kessil h380's so its bright as heck. Was only able to raise it about 1 more inch. Will see if that has any affect. Any way to clean the chaeto without just tossing it and adding new?

Raised it as High as I physically can for now. Will see if that changes anything.

Think I'm going to add a powerhead to the fuge section to get the flow moving better. Anyone have a good recommendation as a replacement to the Red sea filter socks in this tank?

Power head is doing some work but seems it will take more to tackle the algae. I've put a clump of the chaeto into the filter socks where there is no light. Hoping the algae on it will break down a bit. I've noticed the chaeto will out survive the hair algae with lack of light. This way I can have some clean chaeto and remove the rest to replace. Possibly removing the algae over time. We will see how this works. Bought some new corals at this weekends fragtoberfest here in the springs. Got me a "stardust chalice" "inferno chalice" some other chalice and a gold tip octospawn. Will have to get a new video up asap will try to go into more depth about how the lights/canopy and sump/equip area is setup.

Changed my LED's to turn off about an hour earlier.

How long should my lights be on for? I think I'm maybe running a few too many hours...

Tonight is water changes I'll be doing a 30% on the RSP650 %40 on the IM20 and 30% on the RSM250. Geez I have too many tanks...
