I decided to finally get back in the hobby. I tore down my 55 gallon back in 2010 and haven't done anything since.

Just purchased a Red Sea Reefer 170 yesterday. I wanted to go bigger but decided on a smaller one for now in order to get the details down again.

I will have plenty of questions and from what I have seen I am sure there will be plenty of folks to provide answers.

Welcome to R2R and back to the addiction. Yes, there are plenty of folks to answer questions along the way.

Welcome back!

Yesterday was a busy day. The tank arrived and had it set up. Should get the rest of the goodies today.

That equipment list is quite nice tagging along to see how this unfolds, any livestock plans yet ?

If you are interested in a challenge, try out some sps. I've been really enjoying my hands on ness with my tank since I started adding sticks it's been quite the positive adventure & that tank is made for those bad boys with that equipment list you should have no problems lighting wise holding you from keeping anything :p

Received everything today. Will need to send the RMS back. Bracket that attached to the light and arm did not line up and would not screw in.

Installed the battery backups and will need to order a couple of more things.

Great deal off of Craigslist. $175 for 109 pounds of love rock. Won't use much of it but I can always sell the rest. It was take all or nothing kind of deal.

Current aquascape.

I'd get the aquamaxx CO-1. Mines been running like a champ for over 3 yrs.

Just found out marinedepot is running a sale on Aquamaxx products. I just picked up a Q3 for my new tank so now I own 3 of their skimmers - HOB, CO-1 and now Q3.

Decided to use natural seawater. Pain in the butt to haul this water. This is only for a 45 gallon tank. I can wait till I go bigger.

Tested water and 0 phosphates. Letting it cycle now.
