Red Sea Reefer 170 - Build Thread

I got these from Home Depot. They have tape on the other side. I initially used that but they fell off within a day due to weight. Then I screwed them in.

Skimmer and heater added. Also finished up the setting of the live rock. Everything seems to be going along nicely. Lime green algae/corraline is starting to grow on the rocks. Love the setup.

When I had my 55 gallon back in 2010 it was a very basic setup with no sump and everything was hanging off the back side. Very clean. Worth the money imo.

Also the Vectra and VorTechs are pretty strong so I had to dial it down to 35%. Still playing around with them.

Any concern of moisture on your electronics being inside the stand with a sump?

I don't think it will be a problem as there is a large venting hole in the back where moisture can escape. I guess only time will tell. Any one else have issues?

I honestly didn't think too much about that until just now that you mentioned it. Crap. Lol

Well incoming Hurricane Matthew has me worried about power now.

Just got a male Red Ruby Dragonet. This thing is amazing! Looking for a female. Added some frags also.

Doing some cable management. Waiting on brackets for the Vortechs to come in.

Hey, great build! Did you leave the tank off the wall enough where you can access the cables or are you able to move the tank once its filled? I'm currently setting mine up and love how you did the wiring but am concerned I won't have easy access to the cables.
