Anyone have the red sea reefer 350 or 450 tanks running? What do you think of it and how is the quality of the tank and stand?

Iv built 7 of them and take care of a few including one at the LFS I work at and I own a 170 and I have to say it’s by far my favorite tank it’s easy to assemble and comes with everything you need and they didn’t cut any corners making it the glass is amazing and the seams are perfect! The stand is very sturdy and looks great! You don’t need any crazy tools to assemble it either. I got the Red Sea Reefer so I have the sump the only thing I did is get a bigger ATO reservoir other wise I would buy another one as my next tank 100%

Don't personally have one but I've seen several in person and they seem to be top-notch aquariums! I've considered getting one myself but I need a new high-end laptop first and a few other odds and ends before I can dedicate funds to a new tank haha

Yeah they are pricey that is why I am trying to justify the cost, don't want the deluxe with the LED lights because I want to do that new T5s with the LED spots for Kessils

I agree, the base aquarium kits are what I would get as well. I already have a Maxspect Ethereal so I could easily get a slave unit for something like the Reefer 350 or just keep it and turn up the intensity for a Reefer 170.

I have two of them now. A 350 and Max Nano (170 without a sump). They are great tanks. Well built and thought out. My only complain is that on both the included ATO tank was too small to really be useful. Their ATO works, but who wants to have to refill it every 3 days?

What did you replace yours with? Something custom or something DIY like a bucket?

I have heard of people replacing the small one with a bigger one

So you went with the AI lights?

I did. I liked the clean mounting brackets that came with the Deluxe. This was my first saltwater tank and to be honest I was a little overwhelmed with everything. Not having to decide which lights to get was one less thing to worry about for me.
