Red Sea Tank OR Custom Made Tank?

Hey guys, I was wondering whether I should get the Red Sea 625XXL or make a custom aquarium to these dimensions. These are the two options that I have and the custom tank will cost about the same if not a little less than the Red Sea tank. But then again the Red Sea Tank is much less likely to have any problems with the plumbing or anything in the long run and if I am not wrong sometimes they replace parts for free (Do let me know if this is correct or not).

Please help me decide on this, thanks in advance!

Your more then likely to have issues with a red sea tank then a custom tank that a manufacturer will stand behind.

Just search for red sea tank failures. The results will surprise you.

oh really? I did not know that. Over here I have never heard of anyone's red sea tank crashing or having any problems. Maybe nobody every posted or mention about it. Thanks for the reply!

I do have the 200XL and believe me.. you cannot keep a stable waterlevel!
U have to adjust the overflow twice a day to keep it quiet.

Sometimes when you are sleeping you can hear the ATO pumping water into the sump like crazy..
Salinity is an issue too this way.

Please dont do it. Really.

Red Sea Fail, very harsh!! But truthful IMO.

I vote custom made from a reputable manufacturer.

Over the past 20 years I've had 3-4 aftermarket tanks spring a leak eventually. I have one custom made 38 gallon tank I got 20 years ago, it's still in excellent condition and no sign of the seals starting to weaken or give, from old age. Also has a crossbar, so that may have something to do with it as well.
