Red Sea test kits.

I would bet that the multiple movements the shipments go through from the factory to final destination is the problem.

Think about every time it’s picked up and put down, most like in large bulk packs that require forklifts (about as package friendly as UPS or FedEx delivery people)

Probably 15-20 forklift moves, several highway truck moves, on and off of a boat, and then the delivery company.

The internal packaging of the test kit is sub par for that many moves.

My first one arrived with broken vials. The replacement was ok but the vials were still loose in the kit box.

It is a Red Sea issue in my mind as the packaging for the kit to go through all the moves is inadequate.

Now their tank packaging is another story! Excellent!
It had to be Red Sea. For the threaded bit to come off enough but maintain attachment to the “seal”. No other explanation.

No response from brs yet

They don't necessarily need to as long as they still sell

True. But a respectable company will fix it.

A little bit of bubble wrap inside would solve the problem of broken vials.

I agree. But many companies just don't pay attention to this kind of stuff. They measure performance by revenue and profit margin.

I've been looking at these test kits too. Definitely noticed reviews on both BRS and Amazon (more on Amazon) of the damaged product upon receipt. Bummer as these things come well reviewed by BRS and the community (when they are not damaged).

I’ll buy from lfs next time. Even if marked up a bunch. Or may try the Hannah checkers.

They’re replacing the entire kit. Let’s see if the 3rd time is the charm.
