It had to be Red Sea. For the threaded bit to come off enough but maintain attachment to the “seal”. No other explanation.I would bet that the multiple movements the shipments go through from the factory to final destination is the problem.
Think about every time it’s picked up and put down, most like in large bulk packs that require forklifts (about as package friendly as UPS or FedEx delivery people)
Probably 15-20 forklift moves, several highway truck moves, on and off of a boat, and then the delivery company.
The internal packaging of the test kit is sub par for that many moves.
My first one arrived with broken vials. The replacement was ok but the vials were still loose in the kit box.
It is a Red Sea issue in my mind as the packaging for the kit to go through all the moves is inadequate.
Now their tank packaging is another story! Excellent!
