Hi everyone, im new here looking dor some advice. Purchased my xxl750 brand new in February 2019 and i just noticed this today. 10/30/2020 what do you guys think?

I am sorry to hear about your troubles. It’s not acceptable. The 750 comes in different evolutions. The first modification was the centre front support, and I hope this is holding up well. The caulking is also different. If you look from top, it seems to me that -I hope- no imminent failure risk, as the glass to glass connection does not seem affected. But this needs to be addressed. I see you have the aluminum center brace on. When did you add that on to the tank? Did you start seeing this after you added on the aluminum brace?

Welcome! This happened on my RS250 and they first told me it didn’t affect the integrity of the seam. Fast forward a few months and I was a few millimeters away from a blowout. Make them replace it asap. RS is fully aware of this issue. Best of luck.

I am setting up a 3xxl 900 and I gotta say...this freaks me out, they(red sea) need to make you whole my dude...these things ain't cheap and neither is the damage they cause if they explode

Nice to have you. Keep us posted as to the tank. So sad. I agree, transfer rocks, sand and all living inhabitants into a temporary home. Best of luck.

you also need to take in account, would you setup another red sea inside your house after your first one failed? What if the replacement fails as well? its not fun/easy moving these setups, especially if you were fully stocked with mature corals and fish.

Not sure what has become of the known quality offered by Red Sea But the last year has displayed a decline in quality.
This is a manufacturer issue and Do not attempt repair until youve been notified by them.
Repair is fairly simple if needed (I can give you guidance) but tank will have to be emptied.

How everything is going? News from Red Sea?

Emailed them last friday afterhours, got a reply first thing monday morning to drain and empty tank asap during the warantee process. I will be getting a replacement, just a matter of time as the larger the tank made by red sea the lower the inventory at the time.
My Red Sea contact has been out of the office since Wednesday till monday morning. So waiting till monday for future updates.
