RedSea 90

[Fin-up reefing]

Hey everyone!! I haven’t been on here for so long so if I put this under the wrong thread I apologize! Anyway here’s my question.. I just got back into the hobby and purchased a RedSea 90LED off of my buddy. I’m using this light on a fairly small reef tank. Here’s the issue, I just ordered a 25 Gallon lagoon tank from innovative marine, will this light be enough? I plan on doing a mixed reef and eventually would like to try acros. Or would I be better off running 2 of these Rs90?

It would be a borderline solution where the middle 18” is probably fine for anything but the 3” on each side not for SPS. It can be tough with a single point source light like that as shadows will be greater than with 2 or more lights.

Too much light is like too much money in the bank. It's always better than not enough and you just use how much you need.

Yeah with LEDs you can reduce them if it is too much, I think having two sources of light to reduce shadowing is a good idea with this type of LED.

Another option might be to supplement with a t5 hybrid fixture. It's what I did on my reefer 170. Is a 4 bulb hybrid with a single radion xr15
