So interesting results. Ended up doing 3x 35ml dose. Tested this morning and only read .5ppm. So I'm hitting it with the same dose as yesterday and I'll see where it ends up tomorrow. Looks like uptake is about 1.5ppm per day. Corals seem happier for sure.

So after a week of dosing and testing, I am holding at about 2ppm nitrates. I've backed off on the stump remover dose amount for a few days to see if it will now hold its own. Phosphate is now near 'normal' for me at .04. Just finished a 3 day lights out and stretching it to 4. I'll do water tests tomorrows and go from there. I'll also change the phosguard and carbon.
Sand bed is looking a lot better, but one more lightless day can't hurt! Weather has been crappy outside so the fish might as well feel my pain too...

hey just checking in on your progress. Glad the filefish did the trick on the Aiptasia. My new tank just arrived so I'm gearing up for my build. Thread already started. I moved my 40 AIO last weekend to make room for the new tank. Man, I have to say I NEVER want to move a tank again. Next time it all goes into a rubbermaid tub.

Its holding its own. Finally got measurable nitrates. Stabilized at about 20ppm. Little higher than I wanted but I'll just cut back on feeding. Everything else is hanging in there. Just doing routine stuff now. No new additions.
As far as moving a tank, I'm with you. Even draining most water into the brutes still made for a heavy push to move this one. I'd say if it was a 150, I'd hire movers! The 40 was a breeze.

Thanks. By the way your MP10 is still chugging away. I'll probably keep it on my 96 for a bit until I get an MP40. I'll give you a shout out on my build thread
Lol. Those thing are hard to kill. My oldest mp10 is still running like a champ too.

Water change today. Some weird stuff happened in the past couple weeks. I saw mantle missing from one of my clams. Couldn't figure out why. A few days later, it was gone! Still no idea why. Water parameters all good. No visible sign of predator attack. Just weird. It was like 2 years old. Then I lost a cardinal fish. Believe he jumped while I had the screen top off and Trent ate it off the floor.
Oh well. It's all in the game. I'll post some pics post WC.

It’s been quite a while. Been very busy with work and other stuff. So over the summer I was dosing stump,remover to raise my nitrates and that worked very well. Aptasia is well under control with the filefish. Recently, I had a horrible failure. Main return pump died. I pulled it out and cleaned and soaked it and it came back to life. Then it dies again and I didn’t notice it for a few days. Tank has tons of flow so i would have had to look to see the lack of circulation. I didn’t for a few days. So I replaced the Jebao with a 500gph mixing pump I use temporarily. Ordered a replacement Jebao from Amazon next day. Wrong pump shows up. Reorder. Ship back. Snowstorm. Doesn’t show up for almost 4 days. Meanwhile at least I have some filtration flow. Finally the new Jebao shows up. Now we are talking a week with little to no filtration. Argh. Replace manifold and installed. Nice new quiet dc pump. Hope it lasts longer than the original. That gave no warning of death. It just ceased to work in barely a year. Huge water change. Great flow. Swell right? Too much nutrients suspended now. Went back to socks. Changed every couple days to clear up water. Skimmer working overtime. Water tested great. Start seeing balls of hair algae. Manually removed as much as possible. Keeps growing more. Tangs are having a field day eating this stuff! Can’t control nitrates and phosphate now. So I started dosing NOPOX. Kept my normal scheduled maintenance and started per instructions at 9ml. 3-4 weeks later we are almost back to normal. In all the commotion, my last clam died. One day it’s fully extended, next day, gone. I keep thinking I have to add the Flow Monitor kit now to alert me of such disasters but not enough room to install the device in my manifold. Adding another doser this weekend for NOPOX as it really is working as designed. Manual dosing every day is a huge PITA and I’m sometimes travel for work and hate to miss a dose. I am considering taking the reactor off line as phosphate is very acceptable at .06.
Also thinking of how to monitor return flow to avoid this situation in the future.
