So for those of with you mp10's.....are they worth it? I am considering one and I don't really think it is a justifiable expense when I already have 2 koralia nanos. What would you all do?

Ryan

They are nice and do a lot of stuff and fir a small tank space is limited si the footprint part is nice and the flow will do all want and need. But if money is an issue or you just want some flow for cheap koralias are good priced and work well.

Personally from experience i loved my mp10 on my 40g but didnt care for my mp40s for my 6' 180.

I think these pumps are best for small tanks so id say if you have the money its a nice investment since space is limited and its totally adjustable to what you need or want.

I bought one for my 20g and fell in love. As soon as I found another at a good price I bought it for my other 20g. I tore it down and now have it on my frag tank and I'm very pleased. I am definitely a fan.

Koralia nanos dont put out near enough flow IMO. I have one on my 10 gallon, and it doesnt even push water across to the other side. Is there different "nano" sizes from koralia? Maybe I have the smallest one?

If you can find an mp10 for a decent price used, get it. plain and simple. you will love the options

There is a 240 & 425. Both of mine are the 425. I had the same problem though with my 20 long. Just never seemed like the flow was enough.

I use all Koralia's in my tank. I am currently watching the classified's though. If the price is right I might jump on some MP's in the near future. But for now I just run 4 Koralia's in my 120. I'm pleased with them. Good performance for the money.

The more I research them the more i think they are over priced. They are definitely a cool you though. I am still not 100% sold though. My bday is tomorrow if I score enough cash and brownie points with the wife I may pick one up. Seems like there are a lot of noise complaints and a lot of people saying they crap out around the 16 month period and need a $50 to $70 replacement piece. I paid less than $35 for both of my Koralia's. Decisions...decisions...still pondering live stock as well...good thing there is still cycle time to decide lol.

Finally got my rock in today. Some funny things about that. I have a fed ex tracking number that I found under the ups label. The first is the original fedex label sent from reerocks.net, the ups label (ups actually delivered) is from reefcleaners.....i guess he got so backed up he outsourced??

Good deal. Give those rocks a good bath before putting in the tank. I had a 15 gallon rubbermaid tub full of RO water that I dipped all my rocks in first. Then I had 2 more 5-gallon buckets full of RO water that I dipped them in as a "final rinse". You wouldn't believe the amount of dust and particles that come off of those rocks.

I am going to do the same. Dusty is an understatement lol.
