Reef Dip Chart - Phase1 - Gathering data

Looks like Bayer is well covered. Any information on dips used in conjunction with Bayer? I often wonder why we aren't using a cocktail of dips upon first introduction. We know H2O2 is very effective in killing algea and pests to some degree too. Do we mix the two? Do we do separate dips in a row? Both H2O2 and iodine have healing properties. Is it ok to dip in all many upon first introduction? And what dips are harmful to what specific corals? Thanks!

1. Bayer is the recommended method in dipping corals to rid of pests. So in my chart I will specify this dip as a pest dip and include how it's to be used as well as handled and disposed.

2. Iodine tincture, Iodine pharmacy grade (10%?), Kents Lugols, BA Lugols - pests, necrosis/infection

3. H2O2 - pests, algae, necrosis/infection

4. Salinity - pests

5. Fresh water - pests

6. Muriatic Acid - including for treating plugs, and rock. Kills everything.

7. Coral Rx - pests, necrosis/infection

I personally stick the Frag in some tank water and blast it with water and then rinse it one more time in another container of tank water with a different turkey Baster.

Thanks for adding that. Passive and natural, still somewhat effective. Some people will like this option.

Help. please, review the OP and correct me where needed. We can add more dips to the list too.
