I guess you have PC4's. I would not use low power pumps on them unless you also use a surge protector with a 330 volt clamping voltage. What I did with my PC4's was I added a 47k ohm 1 watt flameproof resistor across each output. I then tried a Aqualifter on it to make sure it would turn off on Ch2 & 3 and would not cause a system reset when on CH 1 and 4. It has to do with the back EMF pulse that is produced by these small pump that turns triac's back on and can cause interference with the buss also. So anything that will suppress this pulse will help.

I use DP1's for ATO and water changes. I do not do any dosing at this time but will use DP1's when I do.

Actually I have PB4's. I'm also relatively good with technology. After spending a week observing my setup and associated timers and alarms the only reasonable conclusion was that this specific PB4 had an issue. I did a reset on myreef2.0 and reloaded the firmware. I've even done an interrupted update to completely reset the PB4 and still have the issue. So either the power bar has a fault, or the software controlling the RKE has a creepy crawly.

The PB4 is suppose to have devices in Ch2 and CH3 for the issue with the low power pumps. I do not have a PB4 to try and see though. If you have it narrowed down to a specific PB4 your best bet is to get with Eric and let him know. If it was the RKE I don't think it would be a specific PB4 each time.

Understood, sorry to say the guys at BRS suggested I use 1 and 4 for those because of the risk of being stuck open. I'll wait and see how and when the new update rolls out to determine my next move.

Thanks for the input, it's greatly appreciated.

Sounds like many of the issues I had with my RKE. I must say I'm quite happy again with good old digital timers and a separate ph controller. I dumped my $900 worth of DA parts in the garbage.

What kind of pumps were being used for dosing and ATO? I never had that kind of issue with my RKE.
I don't know the brand, but its a small fountain pump. It's in channel 4 on a PB4. DA e-mailed me on what to do next. Here is what they say to do.

(if you go into documents/digital aquatics/dbs and delete the revisons.txt file, it will force my Reef to download the updates and new file on the next startup.)

What do I do after doing this? Do I try to update the modules again after? I tried to update a PB4 and I still shows both firmware numbers 204 205 in red.

When you try the update it should show what is going on at the bottom of the window as it goes through the steps. What does it say?

When I try to update a PB4 I get this>>> Module's firmware matches file! But it says it needs updated from Revision 0.024-0.025 in Red.
Module's firmware matches file!
Module's has: Revision=2.04 Serial Number=16BF7B7D
Module's Check Sum=325E and when I proceed with update anyway it says programming has finished. But it still shows revision 0.204-0.205 in red. When I add it to the system (head unit and other modules) the green light blinks.

Make sure you have 2.05 selected at the top of the window. It sounds like it has 2.04 selected as the file to update to.

2.05 is the file selected. I just noticed on the Head unit all of my PB4's (5 in all) have the 2.04 file, not 2.05. I have updated all of them with file 2.05. Must not have taken file 2.05. I have even tried doing the interrupted update. Still shows 2.04 & 2.05 in red. Thanks

OK, there may be some issue with file 2.05. You can always select 2.04 and install it until we can get it straightened out. I am not sure of 2.05 if it still says 2.04. Not sure what the new firmware does differently than 2.04.
