Reef Radiance led light..OMG..What a light....

What kind of lights did you have before Lux? Might have overdone it 50/70 is a high starting point if your tanks not used to it. I started off at 30/50 and am seeing positive results

Thanks for the reply . I had ecoxotic panorama pros over them. I started off the first two weeks at 40% white 40% blue as Rick suggested to me. I have moved up to 50% white and 65 % blue the beginning of this week. I can tell now more that one of my small acros is bleaching a bit so I am going to turn them down back to maybe 45% white and 60% blue. What do you think?

Hi Luxauterna,

When condys get healthy - they become darker -generally brown - this is a sign of health and that they are responding well to the light.

Not nearly as pretty as the white color they generally come with though.....

Rick

Rick, thanks for the reply! I was not aware of that.

Yea and if u email asking about it they act like your bothering them and should just wait. The bad thing with mine is I got an invoice and a tracking number, waited till it was supposed to be in, waited another two days then emailed asking where it was only to find out that it never shipping and I have to wait at least another 7-10 days before they get it in.

Yes they take a long time to respond. And there shipping processing takes forever. They take 1-3 weeks just to look at your order!! I ordered recently and now I'm regretting it they told me that they were shipping within the week with my track number but haven't received anything disappointing. What bothers me there aren't even manufacturing them they are just distributing. Maybe they get only limited numbers every week that's the only way I can see them take forever to ship. But they should be more forward and say they are going to take a week-4 weeks to process then ship out not 1-3 weeks to receive lights. Sorry I'm ranting.

Admittedly, I am really enjoying my light. However the wait was pretty much unbearable. On a few different occasions I contemplated just asking for my money back and buying a pair of AI Sols or Hydras out of the classified. Sure they sent me a "free" fuge light (unlike some people that are still waiting on theirs) but I don't even have a fuge. I guess I am just going to list it in the classified section. Something that really irked is that I am pretty sure they use the same mount for their DM-155 and their Lumentek light, but they charge $10 more for the "Lumentek Mount".

I'm loving my light I have had it for 3-4 weeks I think and everything is growing great. I waited 7 weeks but for the Qualty and price it was worth the wait and I would do it again.

it is human nature to want instant satisfaction but, good things come to those who wait :) and this light is so worth the wait

I'll give you $20 for the free light you don't need or want. I got my lights so quick I didn't even qualify for one :)

I am at that stage right now. Can't wait!!! Hopefully they can ship a little sooner.

I know they are good quality that's why I can bear to wait on my lights!! Plus the refuge lights are a bonus.

I would like to take this time to express something if you guys don't mind. I totally understand that when you order something that you hear such good things about. You want to see what all the fuss is about and maybe experience the same. Most of us know that business is just that...Business! Rick is doing what he can to satisfy all of his customers. To the best of his ability. So I ask you, put yourself in his shoes. Trying to satisfy your customers, run a business, family, and move the business all at the same time. Half way across the country. We all know that in business, everyone will not get the same product. As much as we would like, someone is going to get a lemon. All calls won't get answered when you want them. Hopefully they will get answered. Products come in good shape and not so good shape. It's the nature of the game. Nothing is perfect. Rick is trying to make good and appease all his customers. I know all won't be satisfied, but knowing what you know, and all the good feedback he's received. Shouldn't we at least put ourselves in his shoes before we get upset. I was one of the fortunate people to receive my light quickly. Why? Maybe it was the light I ordered. I see most of you have ordered the DM 155E. Hot item! He's probably just trying his best to keep up with the demand along with living life. And we're just probably a small number of the people who are ordering. So like I said, put yourselves in his shoes and try to be patient. Like someone else said, good things come to those who wait. There is a reason people are praising this product. We are genuinely happy with it and his customer service. I'm done. Thanks for listening.

I understand where you come from on that but I will be upset when I get sent a damaged and one that has wire nuts rolling around inside it I email tell him the problem on hours after I get it and all I get told is that I can fix the problem and FedEx must have been rough with it and nothing else will be done

Anyone that has their lights know there is no doubt that Rick and Reef Radiance has a home run on their hands. Once they get their ships in 3 or its free thing going, they may be unstoppable. In my previous post I was just being very honest with my thought about pulling out and going another route. I am glad I didn't. Rick was very good to work with and went beyond what he had to in order to make me happy. I do understand people's frustrations trying to get their products in their hands. I hope as his company continues to grow Rick can maintain his level of customer service he has a deserving reputation for.

Hi KeiferTheReefer,

What are you getting?

Rick

Rick,

I got the Evergrow IT2040 with custom optics! You may recall that I had to send the first one back to you because Evergrow sent the wrong one.
I got my light in last week, and it is amazing! It covers my 24" 60 gallon cube perfectly. Corals are currently acclimating at 35% blue and 15% white max, and I plan on ramping up 5 points per week until I reach roughly 70% blue, 30% whites. Couldn't be happier Rick!

Keith

dm 155 over a 90 gallon. waiting for my mounting kit to be made

This cruel!!! I'm going stop looking at this thread.

And Rick does work hard he is understaffed and yet he does great customer service he answered me two days late but still answered all my questions. That shows he is working. Just shipping needs a little work but he sells a great product.

I just reset my clock. I'll monitor it and post up how it goes. It is only a slight annoyance now that I have my Apex controlling my pumps and have profiles setup for night, dusk/dawn, and daytime and they are not staying quite in synch with my lights.

OK, one week has passed. I think I originally misspoke when I said the clock was slow and like others observed it is actually fast. My Lumentek has gained 3 minutes over the past week.

got to say guys this thread is crazy over 1200 post and going strong. also would say that i had no problems with the service i got from rick seem to be a good person tring to do right by everyone which by reading this post anyone can see. Will ask that the people with the 240s post more pics as i own 2 of them that I got a few weeks ago but havent set up my tank just yet because life and work slowing me down.
