Cause a lot of Chinese stuff is cheaply made and poorly assembled. Look at the hatred towards jebao from ecotech and tunze owners.

Just ordered another 155e. Been a while since the 1st purchase(since Starting this thread) but all i can say it growing everything perfect..also it shipped today..Ordered it like 6 hours ago

I totally disagree with this statement. One most likely started by a Made in China hater! What's worse is ask Ecotech, Tunze and AI where they get their parts from.

You disagree that a lot of Chinese products are cheaply made and poorly assembled? Then you are a fool.
I'm not saying reef radiance lights suck, I'm answering a question to why most people assume Chinese leds suck. I am a big supporter of reef radiance and jebao because I believe they are not only great products but the best bang for buck. I recommend these products to customers more than any other products in the same class.
It seems these Chinese lights are well built I ordered some and going to test them. First lights since I'm a reefing newbie. I was actually think of getting jebao since they are strong for wattage.

The common problem encountered by some of the cheap leds is they are not true to claimed spectrum or change spectrum over time.

The problem is that you have no way to know if they are true to spectrum without some expensive testing equipment, though the seneye monitor could be really helpful with that if it's accurate.

You know that really expensive iPhone 5S in your pocket? Guess what? It's made in China. Probably by slave child labor too. But I don't see anyone here calling Apple a distributor of Chinese iPhones. Apple designs and engineers the phone and has factories in China build it. Reef Radiance does the same exact thing.
I bought a refurbished iPod Touch for my kid last year right off the Apple website. You know where it shipped from? Hong Kong! OMG it's Chinese!

1. I stopped supporting apple during the greedy lawsuit bs. So no, I don't have an iPhone in my pocket.
2. Apple has extremely high quality control standards so that is not an example you can stand behind to defend build quality.
3. I am not bashing Reef Radiance in any way, shape or form. I explained why people are hesitant to purchase lights or pumps from China. If that is too hard to comprehend or if you chose not to thoroughly read a post, maybe you should evaluate your post quality control....
The only "fool" here is the one who seem's to not know that the parts from RR lights come from and are made in China! However these lights are assembled by RR using products made in China. Therefor you are in fact bashing RR!

2. We are saying the same thing. I don't think everything that comes from China is crap. The lights, jebao, phones and many other things are prime examples of excellent products. There is also a long history of bad products in this hobby from China so the reputation is there.
