Could someone please tell me how far from the waters surface (40B) should my Pro 180 be hung?! Needing to know for a proper bend in the conduit.

I would think it would be kind of a personal preference. Depending on how much coverage you want. I have mine 12in from the water line. I get full tank coverage. Not as bright on the sides, but bright enough for some lower light corals.
My 240 is 12inches above the water and it's covers the side good

Yes. If you are limited on how high you can mount them (like in a canopy) you can get the wider optics.

Does anyone how to readjust the hanging kit. Mine is all the way up and I can't seem to get it down.

You should buy these light because they are by far the most cost effective led lights out there. They have far more spread than a Eco light and don't cost $750 each. Unfortunately I don't have the most recent light of the 155e model but the new ones have a better optics pattern not to say mine aren't great. What an energy savings over my old MH setup. I bought these lights because of the great customer service and fast shipping. Rick was willing to answer any questions I had and even emailed back to me at hours of the day none else would ever do. You can't go wrong with ordering your new led lights from Rick and you won't be disappointed. Very affordable and you get more than what you pay for with these lights. I will gladly buy again if I add more tanks to my home. Also on another note I have had good coral growth even with my SPS. I have a mixed reef and I acclimated everything over time. I'm still not at 100% on either channel of the three lights
Sorry I know you can't see my corals to well in the fts but you can see the lights. I will add some up close pictures for you to see though. Also not easiest to take photos with Ipad under led lights

Don't use all four straps only use two clip from one mount to other at one end and then do the same at other. This will reduce hang by half. See fts photo above

Hey Rick, now I can weight in, since I don't have my larger reef started yet. Been building smaller ones.
Back in the 90's I built a 75g reef in the living room wall above the console TV. Now that we're back in the hobby, we bought a nicely used 150 tank that will be in the wall, but this time we have a plasma flat screen, so the reef will be placed next to it. Both will cover most the short wall. In back of the wall is a bedroom we used as the "fish room", and this time I'll be tearing up the carpet and replacing the flooring with vinyl and sealing all edges with silicone, so if anything leaks, it's a simple clean up.
When I make the stand, I'm going to make a 2x4 and plywood tub lined with EPDM rubber (for ponds/roofs) with a slope down to the middle that will be hooked up to a drain. All dirty water from the RO/DI unit, water change, cleaning etc. is all hooked up to the same drain.
I bought your 240 light a while back after a exhausting,......research for lighting.
Questions I had for myself.
What type- MH, use my old VHO system, T-5's or LED's ?
What watt, spectrum, hood, pendant......?
Warranty coverage/length of time ?
And a big factor, COST ?
As with everything, you get what you pay for in quality and price. Just because the mega high dollar lighting, doesn't mean it's any better than a comparable lower dollar unit !
So with all of this in mind, my no brainer,.......decision was you and your company. I was very, impressed with our conversation over the phone and when my 240 arrived, I was also
very impressed !
I unboxed the light and placed it on the coffee table to check it out. I literally, spent 3 days playing,.... with all the dawn to dusk times that can be programed and intensity values. One night, I decided to let my program run overnight and watch them go through my chosen cycle. At 7:00 am, the blue's started and ramped up the blue & white to 100% by noon at only 50% power.
This is what I got into trouble with my WIFE
We had just bought that new coffee table 3 days ago, and when I moved the light to the fish room to store, my wife SCREAMED ! I thought something was really wrong, like the dog died or something. When I ran back into the living room, she almost gave me a right hook to my jaw. I asked "what's wrong" ????, she replied, "look what you did" !, :mad2: I looked at the table, and their were little round crop circles burnt into the table finish from the LED's, at only 50% mind you ! lol
I'm still,....paying for that one ! :help:

A light you will be happy with
A while back I got a pro 180 for my 30g tank. Just the experience with Rick was amazing taking the time to talk to me and be sure what I purchased was what I needed for my tank. Though waiting for this light was not easy it was well worth the wait. I have no disappointments and pleased how my corals have grown. :rockon:
When I hung my light I wanted to protect my tank and the light from harm and the cat. I chose to build a custom box that this light hangs in . With a door that is hinged and a led that is in a repeater box I can control my light with the cover closed. The light is strung using the included wires and I used the balance nuts to be the anchors. They are threaded through a hole and set on their side allowing this light to hang inside my box freely.
With all the other lights out there that promise fancy thunderstorm settings and other programmable features I found that the cost is not worth the time and effort of programming them and the lights tend to be cumbersome. Not to mention the LEDs tend to be in spectrums more for human (awe) than health of the tank. On the other side you have LEDs that are not good enough for salt water with low wattage and limited lifespan of the product.
The 180 Pro delivers great programming with the functionality you need to allow sunrise through sunset for you tank. With a programming that is strait forward and easy to compleat. The LEDs 3w a piece and 3 channel separation allows for unique programming and delivery of the light your tank needs. You may like the shimmer and this light will do that, you may like the glow and this light delivers, you may want good coral growth and this light will make your corals grow quick and strong.
In the few months I have had this light since switching from a 4 bulb T5 light I have seen remarkable differences. My anemone has darkened, my corals grew heads and fastened in one month and they had not done that in the 2 months under the T5s. If you want quality,service,knowledge and a great LED system at a reasonable price call Reefradience and order yourself a light and a piece of mind.
