Reef Radiance led light..OMG..What a light....

I haven't hung my 180 yet (waiting on stand) and I'm getting a little discouraged. From the pics I'm seeing spot light effects and the timers are all funky. Just yesterday I had my unit out just to look see only to find my remote doesn't work. I'll try replacing the battery before I make a stink. But I am wondering.....was this the wrong decision?

No spotlighting on mine. Timer runs a tad fast, but so does most everything ime. Mine is maybe 5 min off after I set it 2 months ago.

My light has changed modes 3 times since I received it back in late feb. Is it ideal, no. Has Rick assured me if it became an issue that it would be replaced, yes. The bottom line is that I paid half as much then a comparable name brand led. I'm happy with the performance and service.

Great lights at a great price, and with customer service where the owner deals directly with you. What's not to like. Here is my tank about a day after transferring everything and under LEDs for the first time. Still adjusting the percentages but seems like everything is loving it

Just got my 155e delivered yesterday. Very happy with the appearance and the build quality. Seems very well built for a $180 product.

I got the 120 degree optics. This is going over a 40 breeder. It seems that the spread isn't going to cover the tank.

I have mostly LPS - but I do have a few SPS pieces, and will likely add a few more.

It looks like I'm not the only one with a 40B here. What's been the experience? Are the edges and corners of the tank covered enough for low-medium light LPS?

What height above the tank do you have your fixture?

Btw - PAR was FANTASTIC read with an apogee meter. Everyone in my local club has been impressed

Alan, yes you did. I am going to send you a brand new 2014 DM-155e as a replacement for the 2013 model you sent in - obviously this is not covered under warranty but I like the 2014 so much more I am going to replace your old one with the new model.

This will go out next week.

My new controller is installed. haven't programmed custom mode yet. I'll be doing that a little at a time this week, it takes awhile to program a 12 hour cycle every 10 minutes.

What's the normal response time from Rick/Staff?

I emailed this morning around 9am and left a voicemail regarding my light that failed this morning (3 days old...) and I haven't heard back yet.

I'm without a good light option right now, so I'm getting a little worried...

Judging by this forum, I'm sure they'll make everything right - I just need to make arrangements so I have light for my tank in the interim.

Hi Cope,

Havng a 40 Breeder - pictures of all tanks soon - I can guarantee the DM-155e will cover this tank.

Just raise it up until you like the coverage and mount it there.

And it will grow what you want on the bottom of the tank easily.
