Ok I'm looking into buying a reef radiance. For the people who are using them what are your opinions on them. pros and con?

I ordered mine. I'll let ya know when I play with them. Rick has been great with info and needs for my tank. Search the threads there are a bunch of them with opinions on them.

I have had my Lumentek 240 for a few months now . I love the light . I have the blues ramping up from 1% to 50% then down to 1% and the whites doing the same 3 hours later from 1% to 42 % then back down to 1%. So far my Frags are growing and my fish seem to like the lights better then the power compacts that was on my tank .

I bought the 240 from Rick and love it. Comes with the on board dimmer and hand held controller at a great price !
I like the full spectrum and layout as well. His customer service is wonderful. I had a problem and called Rick after hours,....just to leave a message, but he answered anyway.
It was a simple issue for him to explain, but confusing for me, and he did not make me feel like a fool. ! Lol

I have had my Reef Radiance 155's over my 40 breeder for almost a week and I can honestly say I LOVE them. Great Lights.
Do you have any sort of PAR readouts on your tank? I was looking at getting this light for my 40 breeder but want to see a par chart before I buy.

I just took some PAR readings off my 155e the other day. Lights 16" off the surface, 55% blues-30% whites came out to roughly 360 at the bottom of my 28g nano, roughly 17" deep. My friend just took readings off his Lumentek 240 and was getting 1400 at the water surface. They'll put out as much or way more than you'll need.

Have 2 dm-132e fixtures on a 90g . Love them . Using one on a qt for corals for last 6 weeks too, coral looking great.

Now will other controllers work with them

I have an Apex , but don't need to use the apex . you program it and that`s it . I have it plugged in but it`s just ON .I have it on a 65gal 48inches long
and light Is 16inches off the water .

Sounds like there isn't any cons

Haven't seen any. There's really no reason for a different light controller, as Ricks works great. You can change the light intensity every 10 minutes if you want different affects. I just use every hour.

Been emailing Rick last couple hours and I'm going with the 180 not the 240 thanks everyone for the advice and help
