Reef Radiance

I recently received the new DM-155e and am very impressed with build quality, both components and finish. I have a bad habit of taking everything apart and this fixture was no exception. Much of an improvement over my Evergrow fixture in many ways. The question above regarding optics 90* and 120*, the entire 'Blue' channel is 90* and on the 'White/Colored' channel the Red, Green and Amber are fitted with 120* optics for better spread/blend overall. For the money cannot think of any on the market I'd rather use, and only modification I would even think to make would be to exchange one of the Red emitters for another Violet. Agreed on Rick's above and beyond Customer Service, nearly have him on speed-dial and has not hung up on me yet...lol

Cheers, Todd

Almost forgot..... I also ordered a 'Seneye ~ Reef' unit from Reef Radiance and should receive by tomorrow or Friday. I will do a comparison in PAR and Kelvin temps between my own DIY array, RR DM-155e, my Blue/White Evergrow fixture and a new Broad Spectrum Evergrow fixture above Duane's (trido) 210g Reef. I'll post in a different newly created thread and hopefully can add another new fixture every so often to document.

Cheers, Todd

Reef Breeders fixtures are customized and re-branded Evergrow fixtures like several others, each having their own take on color and layout of emitters. Rick has obviously found a different source/factory and has made some significant improvements IMO. Noticeably the quality of Fans, POT's and case finish. When I said I took this fixture apart I meant completely disassembling it.

Cheers, Todd

I found out about reef radiance through a online coral seller claiming his house lights are comparable to to reef radiance but stronger but from I seen I'm glad I chose to go with rick.

You will like the seneye reef . I use the par meter on all my tanks . the moniter is very nice . be sure to soak the silde for 48 hours before use .

I have had the Dm-155e fixture for a couple months now. and just WOW! simply best lights around for sure. my corals have tripled their growth no complaints about these lights. if your looking for a LED fixture look no further. Purchase! 5

Here are some pics of my 40 gallon breeder with the Dm-155e fixture. running blues at 55 percent and whites at 25 percent.

I am currently running the blues at 60 percent and whites at around 40 percent. this is pretty much where im leaving it at. light is 14inches above the water and spread is perfect. no shadowing spots. great converage on 90 degree lenses.
