wanted to add a Potter angel but concerned about it being aggressive of nipping a my clam so now thinking about a Bellus Angel...what do you guys think?
yes lots of fish but tank is currently doing well

I'm fish only but I think bellus is reef safe.. Lemarck angel little cheaper..

Bellus would be an excellent choice as it's one of the safest Angels out there and would be a good fit for a tank of that size. Potter's tend to be better behaved but in addition to being pricey they can also be difficult to get feeding. Bellus are generally fairly hardy. A Swallowtail Angel would also be a good choice and cheaper than either of those two options.

Actually a lot cheaper. Cheapest of the Genicanthus varieties.

Potters angel or Flame angel

I have been told that flame angels are probably the best bet. I’m getting one in a bit so we shall see

Not entirely true. Genicanthus Angels (ie Lamarck's, Bellus, Swallowtail) are the best behaved and most reef safe of the angels. That said, Flames tend to be better behaved than your average Dwarf Angel when it comes to Coral nipping.

I thought flames angels nipped?
between a potters and a bellus what is "safer". Any opinions on which has a bigger wow factor visually?

I'm considering a flame in our tank. If they are going to nip, what do they usually go for?

When I had mine he nibbled on Frogspawn and Hammer (what I had in the tank at the time). Dwarf Angels can go for a variety of corals and that is why everyone says it's a gamble with them.

Any Genicanthus would be safer than a Centropyge (aka Dwarf Angel). As for looks, the Potters has the Orange and Blue which can stand out, but IMHO the Female Bellus is every bit as gorgeous in her own right (pictured here):

I think each angel is different when it comes to the type of coral they eat. That is IF they decide to nip at them

Well fed Flame Angel would be fine, a harem of 3 is really great.
A pair of Watnanbei is what I recommended, but Flame angels are more beautiful. It would be so much more interestion if you at least keep a pair, if not a harem.

I have a regal , majestic and a female bellus and they could care less about corals . They are probably waiting for me to buy a real expensive one first . Lol however with the fish you have right now I think a female bellus would work

You can get a harem of Flame Angels. LA have them on sale tonight for 39.99, free shipping, with 15% off code floating around, you get them for about 34.00 each. I just got 3, one to add to my harem, two for a friend harem.
These are all small Flame Angel so they are all juveniles and females. Grow them up together and you get your harem. With 16.00 loyalty customer credit and I got three Flame angel for 94.38, including tax. There is no way you can get better price for such beautiful fish. 2 weeks warranty too. IME, if I can get them to live for 2 weeks, I am home free and they will live for a long time.

Any one with regals that don’t nip zoas? Or do they all snack away at those toxic polyps??
I don't keep polyps so I don't know. Don't bother my clams, SPS or anemones.

I've had no issues with all 3 of my regal angels eating zoas, inverts, LPS or SPS. Occasional nipping but never any corals devoured. All 3 of my Regals were juveniles under 2.5" from the Red Sea and Maldives.
