Soo afraid of a mandarin starving in my care. Maybe one day but I’m nowhere near ready for one yet
its good to be cautious, what worked for me was getting one that was fat and happy already, feeding frozen pods with the flow off twice a day and if needed using a pippet to shoot them at it, then gradually moving onto better foods

Ooohhh I recognize him from your thread about why he wouldn’t pair w the pistol shrimp. Very cute. Wanted one for a long tome but I’m afraid it would get bullied in my tank. Maybe if I get a big display fuge. They’re so darn cute!!

I love the sand sifting goby's, but just beware, I had to remove my diamond goby because he would constantly bury my corals with sand. Even up on the rocks. He did an outstanding job of keeping the sand cleaned and turned over, but after he killed my plate coral and tried to kill my trachy buy burying them he had to go.

Mine never buried my corals (although mine were higher up), but it created sandstorms in my tank on a regular basis. After my I lost my second one in a period of a year and a half, I decided to try something different and switched to Conch Snails. Haven't lost a one, no sandstorms/corals buried and interesting to watch.

Diamond gobies are so so so so cute. One of the reasons I got into the hobby to be honest. Loved watching them sift. But the

Interesting. I’ll consider one

Flame hawkfish, tons of personality.

Midas blenny by far in my 60g gets along with lawnmower blenny also.

Clown gobies are definitely cut from a different cloth. My pink one perching on the head of my Yasha's goby. :D

Always loved the look of em but I’m afraid they might get picked on in my tank. Hoping to set up a 20g Display refugium in the next few months. You think they’d be happy in there or too small? I could start them in the DT and move em to fuge if needed. Just like a backup plan on these cases.

Love my starry! We call him the "old man" as his whiskers and eyebrows are stark white and he looks like an old man.

Tons of personality, swims all over the tank, very hardy, and bothers no one else.

Clown goby's are another great choice, but be aware they are called coral crouchers for a reason. They also tend to lay their eggs, and live within acro's, which subsequently can kill the coral(reef safe with care).

My yellow wrasse is awesome - but the interactions between all of them (clowns, royal gramma, wrasse) are fascinating to watch :)

My tailspot blenny follows me around and displays himself. I've got a biota rainford goby for a sandman. He doesn't go crazy dropping sand everywhere and has a neat shape and colors.

They are perchers and don't require a lot of space. Mine has been in a 10 gallon IM Fusion for 3 years.

Wrasses for me for color and personality. They are crafty little sneak thieves for food. I have seen my Melanurus and my Blue Star Leopard rip off pieces of seaweed from the clip and lead all the fish around the tank in a chase trying to get it from each other. My Melanurus Wrasse does a looping "Dance for it's Dinner" at feeding times when I am near the tank. My Blue Star Leopard Wrasse is the most curious and people friendly of all my fish.
