You both obviously have something you’re trying to get across or achieve. What is that, please? What do you hope to achieve by continuing to post in this thread specifically?

I mentioned it earlier, as well as MnFish; perhaps poorly worded by the RS member, but when the post was brought up as a problem we’re seeing the staff, mods, etc blow it off.
It helped the the RS clarified until some more poor choice of words were used to back up what was originally perceived.

Like I said before - no one is perfect. Just because someone has posted 10000 helpful posts - doesnt mean that I cant have an opinion about one of them - or part of them that I FEEL is slightly negative. By the way - the recent response from the RS member to me - in context - was IMHO uncalled for - it borders on personal insult - and IMHO - is again part of the problem here. But I'm a big boy - I don't report posts or lock threads, etc.

But don't you see how YOU are central to the issue here? How you dealt with people, tones you have taken? Just because you may preface some of your statements with "all due respect" or imho opinion, doesn't mean you are giving respect or are being humble. In fact quoting somebody and essentially saying they are part of the problem is as much if not more of a personal attack than someone saying those same actions are just rubbish.

I have, I have also seen you just came here to badger the ReefSquad with no goal. You have been asked what your goals were and you didn’t answer that correct,y either.

One of the reasons is questions like this one - if you ask a question - you'll probably get a response from me.

I think I've already explained the goal - but I will do it again. This post about the reef squad was posted immediately next to my other thread on 'forum politics'. I posted mine in the lounge. If you look at my first post on this thread it says "I have no problem with the information the reef squad gives - but I posted a related thread.

Feel free to read the rest yourself (I just did) - My second comment was a post about the perceived unfriendly tone made by an RS member. The rest of my answers on this thread relating to me having to justify an opinion to several reef squad members.

So - my goal was to show that I meant no disrespect to SP and tried to show that. Despite being 'ganged up on'. It is a discussion site correct? Opinions are ok right? if you read the post caused the hubbub - with an open mind maybe you'll see a glimmer of what I'm talking about. If not - its ok we can disagree.

Thank you for your reply. I’ll let @MnFish1 reply before making any assumption that you both have the same goals in this thread, so let me reply to you alone here.

What I’m reading is that some “poor choice of words” has led to some disappointment on your end at several points in this thread? Is that a fair assessment of the situation of your perspective? Is there any better way to state that, or anything else that should be added?

So, to make sure I understand, your goal is to make sure that everyone knows you don’t mean them any disrespect? And that it’s okay to disagree with you?
Is there something there I missed or don’t understand? Is there more that needs to be added?

Or maybe you are not the victim of persecution. When you are being "ganged up on" perhaps its that multiple people disagree with you and that their opinions count too.

The best way to show respect is to disagree by just posting your opinion without specifically calling certain individuals or posts out... Now there are certainly times when it is appropriate to address a particular post or person but I must say @MnFish1 nearly every thread with you turns into targeted debates. It's exhausting.

So I dont get accused of posting again - I want to be clear that I'm answering your question.

We've already had this discussion. Right? I made one post suggesting SUGGESTING that some of the wording by the RS there is a change on the site . I will leave out with due respect and IMHO since you object to those terms. The tones I have taken in this thread match the one that was used to me. I think I mentioned some posts ago that we can agree to disagree or something to that effect. But I will give you this - I went back reread all of the posts in this thread. It was actually interesting. I especially looked for places where I was rude or mean etc. I admit that the second post I made about the perceived problem could be taken incorrectly (ie as a negative comment) But - wait I think the first poster's tone was not appropriate - so I guess we can both have different opinions and agree to disagree.

My goal here is to resolve this, in this thread, whatever it is. I’m trying first to understand where everyone is coming from and what their goals are. I am confidant that I know why everyone in the RS posted here (we all “work” together and have an established history and familiarity), so please don’t take me not asking them anything as some sort of focused attack or indifference - it is not. I am interested in hearing any ideas that could further my stated goal above, but will primarily focus on @Eggs and @MnFish1 as they seem the ones most actively aggrieved, but am happy to hear from anyone.

Yet - some people can disagree without 'ganging up'. An example of being ganged up on - by the way - is when one posted asks a question - like DLHdesign - and then I answer - and people go on and on. Like you're doing above. Ill say it for the last time - we can agree to disagree.

I think its a little weird for you to be paraphrasing my post - and then asking me if its right. Why not just quote my post that answered your last one? Again - read the thread - I've responded when I've been asked things or misrepresented.

I will reply to this - to me - it seems one-sided. It also happens quite often when anyone questions or in anyway implies that a RS member might be incorrect. It takes 2 sides to have an 'argument' or discussion. Thats my final input on this topic.
