Reefer 250 V3 Sump adapter for Klir 4

Hello, here is my badly drawn:eek: idea by removing the valve at this place because it interferes and keeping the RO tank at the top. I positioned the RO water tank in the background but in fact it would be above.

Very nice drawing. I could move the hole as far to the left as possible. The problem is fitting a skimmer with the top-off and the Klir.

Have you already purchased the Klir 4? If not I would just wait and buy the Red Sea fleece filter that is coming out. I will probably change to that after the bugs are worked out.

Nice design!
1. Whats the purpose of the ledge, circled in red?
2. Suggestion for the seven holes: instead of making them square thru holes, recommend making them with rounded downwards so the water flows down the wall to reduce noise/splash.
I will post it without the two holes circled in yellow.

I just uploaded the modified adapter removing two holes to Thingverse . It has not updated at the time I posted this. Thingverse is very slow.

Mike, on your 3D drawing could you move your hole for the Klir 4 to the left so I can keep my water tank where I drew it, since I move the valve? The adapter goes under the glass tab that supports the RO tank?
My RO tank glass is 149.5mm from the glass sump.

I asked questions to Red sea. The Reefmat does not interest me, it is necessary to remove the separation between the refugium and the skimmer. I'm using the refugium and I don't want to delete it. In addition, I don't really see the point of placing a Reefmat after the micron bags.

No problem, just to the right of the RO tank is my skimmer.

Updated - I modified a few items. I moved the KLIR 4 to the left, increased the depth of the rim that the Klir sits on, removed two of the holes, lowered the step. The step is required in order to keep this as a drop in with no mods required. I also mesh fixed prior to uploading. You will have to wait for Thingverse to update.

I think the adjustment knob may interfere with placement of the Klir. I wonder if the entire valve could be rotated somehow so the Klir would fit.

You will want the Klir sensor mounted on the right side of the Klir viewed as you are facing the front of the sump or remote mount the sensor.

22 hour print. I am going to print it and the corners like to lift so I am going to try a Brim.https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5270666

Wow, efficiency, speed. Thank you. what is a Brim?

Hello, how is 3D printing going?

Hi Mike, I read that you installed a Reefmat 500 so you ditched the Klir 4 I guess. Do you notice a real difference ? What type of configuration did you choose for your sump ? A picture ? Thank you.
