Reefer 425 stocking suggestions

Hey all, had all my plans for my 200 gallon dream tank. But plans change and thinking about a new plan. I’m set on a reefer 425 G2. Now I need some ideas for fish stock list. I know I want a fox face but looking for potentially one small tang like a tomini or the like. Would like lots of movement such as wrasses. So if y’all had to do it for yourselves put me a stock list together!! Thanks in advance!!!

group of anthias?
Bicolor angel?
With maybe a flame angel?
I like the powder brown tang..
I've always been a fan of mystery wrasse.
A midas blenny is fun to watch swim around imo.
Add a couple clowns maybe
a yellow watchman goby and
a royal gramma.

Depending on how many anthias that's close to what I'd do with it.

The main reason I’d do this is due to the variety in colours, size and body shapes. Ontop of that it’s a mix of what fish will eat different “pests”.

I have a RSR 425 but the V3 rather than the newer G2, FWIW.
My current stock list is:
2 x clown fish (exact type unknown)
1 x Royal Gramma
1 x Orange spot Goby
1 x Convict Tang
1 x Foxface Rabbitfish
6 x Green Chromis

These provide a nice range of colour and speed/lifestyle as well as covering most areas of the tank. The Tang, FFRB and Goby are also a very useful part of my CuC.

I'll get another couple of fish eventually but I have decided yet. I have a Coral Banded shrimp and a few hermits and snails too which I enjoy watching so that limits a few fish!

I am partial to angels, a 100-gallon (4ft) will let you keep just about any Centropyge / Paracentropyge. For larger angels, I think you could do the following:
-Smaller Genicanthus (Spot Breast, Watanabei, Bellus)

-Smaller Chaetodontoplus (Singapore / Mesoleucos, Black Velvet, Blue Spotted)

-Apolemichthys (Cream / Xanthurus, Red Sea Cream / Xanthotis, Bandit- if you can find a CB one, not sure if Karen Brittain still breeds them but I’m sure they won’t be cheap)

For most other large angels IMO they should have at least a 5 x 2 x 2 in my opinion and some need really big tanks.

Butterflies are nice too. If you’re willing to pay a bit more for a fish, I would consider a Burgessi or Mitratus Butterfly. A Copperband might also be fine but they’re not easy to get feeding.

Other than that, Clowns, Damsels, Gobies, Blennies, Hawkfish, Wrasses, Basslets, you have many options in these families.

If you want some color and some unique behavior......can't beat a flame hawkfish.

If I'm honest, the Foxface was a bit of a spur of the moment purchase as I was only at my LGS to pick up the Tang and Goby but I'm very happy that I did. He adds some real personality to the tank and his sleeping camouflage is quite something to see!

no. they are both small for tangs so they seem to do fine.

You’d most likely find you have to rehome it eventually as they can get aggressive and rather active in the longrun.

The fact that you named most of my favorite fish is crazy. Note this though if you mean a diamond watchman (valencienna sp.) You might have some issues with sand ending up on corals consistently. Maybe not in a tank that size but mine would throw sand up where the acros are to the point where I lost a lot of corals because of it. This likely doesn't happen to everyone but I can guarantee sanded corals will get buried. Also I love yellow coris wrasses. I would add the wrasses all at the same time. As for the dispar anthias you have a tougher dilemma as they shouldn't be added too late but I wouldn't add them too early. Maybe start with the clowns and goby then add the anthias. Then progress into the others.

I have had the diamond goby in the past and that’s my hang up. My past fish threw sand everywhere. I have never been big on Large LPS on the sand before. But I’m thinking I will on this build. So he may be off the list for that reason alone.

For a substitute i find a pearly jawfish a nice addition as a bottom dweller, as long as you have deep enough sand so it can burrow
