Almost died pushing it up a wet slippery driveway. It's here!

I read somewhere you have to inspect it before the driver leaves which seems like a nearly impossible task. That's what has me hesitant about ordering a large tank.

This is exactly what has prevented me from ordering too. Can someone allay that concern?

From my understanding, we thoroughly inspect the box for signs of damage, and then sign if it's good. There is no way to perform a thorough inspection by performing a leak test with the poor driver present. If this was a major issue, we'd hear more horror stories about it and the tank delivery service probably wouldn't exist anymore. The peeps at saltwateraquarum are rational human beings.

I'm not talking about a leak test. I was thinking of cracked or chipped glass.

Oh I see. In that instance, it would be a collaborative effort between myself, saltwateraquarum, and Red Sea to get it resolved. The same box gets shipped to your LFS, and the same deal applies (but it would be your LFS dealing with Red Sea instead of you and the company you purchased from).

The front and sides are both 3/4 inch thick glass. The back is just shy of 3/4 inch. THERE ARE NO PREDRILLED AI HOLES.

So I don't know if this is a design flaw or not.. but the return line pipe looks pretty small. Maybe 1/2 inch pvc? I can't find a measurement on it. It's smaller than the overflow pipes.

That little stuff will get replaced on mine if it ever arrives lol.

How do you replace this though? Wouldn't this part still cause the bottleneck and lower flow? I was trying to look up what's the max flow rate through a 1/2 inch pvc, but I'm unsure on the PSI.

I'm not sure we really need more than 1900 gal/hr. Why replace it with a larger pipe?
