Well were fixing to go into 2010 and a new year of reefing. So I got to thinking about my goals as a hobbyist and what I would like to accomplish and I wonder about our membership here as well.

So what are your goals or desires for this year and how will you accomplish them?

1. Goal: My first and number ONE goal is to grow out some nice sps colonies as well as colonies of other corals in general.

How: Keep the most consistent aquarium parameters possible in order to maintain maximum growth. Also I need to restrain from fragging for any reason. A lot of time I frag in order to fund the next new coral.

2. Goal: Next I want to raise my first set of Bangai Cardinal fish as well as Clownfish.

How: Have the most suitable and conducive environment possible to persuade the fish to mate. Feed well and eliminate any distractions for the fish. My Picasso clown pair #1 is coming to the age and hopefully it will be soon.

3. Goal: This goal may butt heads with the number one how to of not fragging, but I want to most awesome rainbow scoly ever! LOL!

How: Keep a constant eye out and prepare to spend some cash.

I will think of more but what about you?

among other big plans ;) I want to grow this bad boy out :D

How do you plan on doing that? LOL!

Well my first plan for next year is buy a new tank from AGA 72-42-28 starphire, rimless, but I always put those plans to the side for any reason, right now I have a 215 Oceanic Ultimate collecting dust because that was going to be my first set up but realize that I need to do it once and won't want to upgrade anymore, the 215 now it will become an aggressive tank, hopefully those plans become reality next month by placing the order on the tank.

I want to get my big frag system going, and upgrade my 55g to a wider 4 foot tank with a sump. Neither will happen in reality.

Mine is to have my 40b running along with my 125. Also to have fragged a few scolys and find the best way to re-grow them :)

Also watch my coral spending...... I spend more money on coral than I really should :/

Goal: To upgrade my 30g macro tank to a 125g

How: Move to a bigger place and fund the project by fragging and selling the colonies I have been growing for the last 2 years.

I think it is actually pretty doable if I stop being lazy and actually ship stuff.

Rev I really think you missed #3 reef empire sold one of the most rare and beatiful scoly
I have seen if they only ship my way i couldev had aquire it :(

this is and has always been my goal - i want one of those tanks that has massive colonies of corals - i'm almost a year in to the new tank and at least two years from the goal, but if i can keep the water right and avoid equipment failure - 2010 is simply let it grow for me

I want to keep my local group buy going, afac.webnode.com. I would like to start fragging the growouts in the next few weeks.
For that matter, I want to learn how to frag corals lol.

Goal One: I want to get my Hawaiian Biotope started out smoothly.

Goal Two: I want to be happy with the corals and fish that already have, and not feel the need to spend redonkulous amounts of cash on new ones ;)

My goals are to have fun with this hobby and learn as much as possable along the way. Help out others here and local any way I can. Hopefully upgrade to a new tank this yr and grow out some really sweet stuff.

for 2010 I want to grow out my LE SPS To colonies....I plan to keep my parameters in check and dose mb7/vodka to lower my high nitrates at a slow level! also for 2010 as bad as I hate to I have to sell some of my bigger fish...They are outgrowing my tank~

For the new year I would like to sell at 3 or 4 frags swaps. Then I need to hang on to the money. This will be the hard part I am sure. We would like to move in the next three years and I need to save as much money as I can for the upgrade.

My goal for the new year is to get my anemone farm up and running.

I can see it now a field of tentacles by next fall!

Mine would be to finish up my fish room project that appears to be never ending. I will be focusing on servicing more the first part of the year, i do have some big surprises in the works and not going to spill the beans. I Also want to continue to get my sps tank back to that show quality look. I have got a good jump start on this month already. 2010 will continue to bring the search for the ultimate coral that I am always searching for.

Oh and to have a but load saved up for Macna when it comes to my home town in september.

I want to maintain a decent SPS reef for the first time! And frag some stuff.. and only get good deals. :D

And overcome my fear for shipping.
