Reefing 2010???? What's your story?

1. Goal: Break down my 75 and temporarily move to the basement by the middle of January.
How: Get my lazy butt in gear!!!

2. Goal: setup(where the 75 currently is) my used 220 sitting in my garage on a custom stand and light fixture that I also need to build.
How: Need to finish the "Honey Do" list before I can start this. Because if I have the tank setup before I complete the list....I am in big trouble because I will be sleeping in the tank.

Goal One: I want to get my Hawaiian Biotope started out smoothly.

Goal Two: I want to be happy with the corals and fish that already have, and not feel the need to spend redonkulous amounts of cash on new ones

I could not agree more Michael and all too often this is overlooked (definitely me included!).

I cannot wait to have my fish in their new home and just let them enjoy life, and add things few and far between as I see fit. With our taste in fish, it's somewhat necessary as well!

finish my equipment wish list that I have been working on for two years and then start stocking more high end SPS with confidence. And get a bigger frag tank.

i want to get my 135 gallon to finish its cycle and then decide i want to do another reef tank instead of a fowlr.. another is i want to start keeping sps.. and last but not least i want to get more corals especially acans.lol:wink:

Goal number one
I need to get my nitrates down so I can grow some SPS.
Plan is to drop some coin on a nice skimmer as I tend to over feed and have to many fish........ I am also afraid of vodka

Stop spending tons of money with my LFS, my wife is ready to kill me
shed the credit cards give here the check book no mre ATM card and kill PayPal..... Can that really be done

Upgrade to a custom tank of 72LX36DX27T or 300 gallons of pure reefing pleasure
Start Spending even more money and stare at an empy tank as I go from 110 to a 300 gallons tank......

Now number 3 is not conducive to life itself let alone number 2 but I can dream as it is free.


But really the most important is to continue to read read read and learn more from all of you smart people... I have been told I am truly lucky as I am only into my fourth month and have only lost three pieces to date, I also have a huge bioload but the monti's are still growing.

Goal 1: sell off some of my large colonies I have grown over the last couple years to help fund the rearranging of my display tank.

Goal 2: Not to have any type of floods or overflows onto my basement floor by redoing my main plumbing andinstalling some needed check valves.

Goal 3: (goal, but not nessecitiy) Upgrade to a larger display tank, something in the 300 to 500 gallon range. If I could afford the upgrade, I would not have to sell off any colonies.

Goal 4: Be more active in my local reef club. I get very busy with work and my children's activities. It would be nice to be able to not only stay active with my current obligations, but to also become a more active member in my local reef club.

Goal 5: Not spend any money on the tank unless I make money from the tank to support my hobby. This is probably the most important one. I can only buy something if I sell something to provide me with the money.

Goal 1 Get our 120 set up and cycled. I need to get the broken foot completely healed. Then I just need to do it! We have just about all of the equipment needed. We just nned the motivation.

Goal 2 Get our 80 gal cylinder repaired and refurbed and get it set up as a fowler tank. The manufacturer quoted us about $600 to do the repairs. So we need to save up for that. We will need the whole equipment list for that one.

I think if we can accomplish these two goals that will be way more than we expected.

Also would like to get better at reef photography.
