Reeflix's boring build.

Of the tank… how bad are they? Have you gotten a microscope and identified the kind you are dealing with?
The tank right now is really brown… I’m trying to restore diatoms, so they glass is covered in them

The Dino’s are mainly in the sand bed, there is a mix of Dino’s and something else on the rocks

Food crazed clownfish!

Cardboard is coming off!
Oof, looking kinda ruff…

Oh no!!! I am assuming that this is because of the blackout, will the other heads be fine? Should I suck up the loose polyp so it doesn’t make ammonia?

I've never lost anything during my various black outs... but ive never had a torch either.

Yeah, it seems to just be that head. Also after closer inspection most of the corals I just a little bleached

How many days was your black out? I usually run it 2 to 3 days total darkness followed by a few days of blues only before I return to the normal lighting schedule.

ambient light or slow ramp up of lights for the first few days after blackout

25% first day 40%-50% 2nd day ,WIWD

I don’t think I will do it, do you think that I should?
Corals bleach from too much light. Like @fishguy242 said, start low and ramp up a little each day. 25% is a good start, up to that 50% over the next day or two.

How many watts are you running? What is your "normal" percentage?

Imagine sitting in the complete dark for 3 days and then the sun hitting you directly in your eyes. That's basically every cell in that coral and they can't blink.
