ReefPops 39 Gallon

Another quick little share. This picture isn't in focus, but came from an experiment with some time lapse equipment we recently got. The experiment didn't work so well on the first try, but this picture still caught my eye. My clowns love to abuse my wellso. The one lays in it half the day. At first I was concerned since she would literally lay there and not move. Now I know it's just what she does. I'm sure they'll be plenty more pics like this down the road.

Yes, they are very comfy in that wellso. That seems to be their fav, but they seem to like anything that they can get into. Their second favorite is the space invaders pectinia. The rainbow trach is becoming a favorite too, but if they bug that one too much I'm guessing it will be leaving the tank and tanking a trip to the 45 ;) Hopefully I won't have any problems though. It is hilarious to watch them. They of course leave all euphyllia alone. Dont' get that one.

Updated FTS after moving some things into the other tank and getting rid of a few others

Was working on some stuff for my MBA class and just saw all these messages now. I'll get some closeups of the euphyllia for sure. I get angry though because I can never capture the rainbow hammers in all their glory. They just look blah. I'll see what I can do though and get some up in the next few days.

Great FTS!!! I love your stocklist!!

Thank you so much! I'm glad I finally got it all together.

I think these alone is the cost of my whole livestock.

very cool! 1smile1

Thank you as always for your kind words. Always nice to hear from you. Yes, I had to save up for those for sure, but worth it and actually paid what I would consider reasonable for both so I'm happy  Love having them in my tank. They are a pleasure.

Great looking tank! Really cool layout you have there with the aquascape. Happen to have any closeup pictures of your blue frogspawn?

Thank you very much. I will be swamped today and tomorrow but my goal will be frogspawn, euphyllia and sump pics this weekend. :)

On a side note just had one of the coolest and saddest things happen in my tank. It's happened quite a few times for me and it never gets old. Anyway, my fire shrimp just had babies. I only noticed because my first were too active for it being lights out. Anyway, seeing all the baby shrimp is so cool. I love when I catch it. Hate knowing they are mostly fish food though and that none of them make it. That's the sad part. A cool thing either way though.

Not the best photos, but bicolor hammer. I recently fragged it, so not as much blue overall, but I'm sure in enough time there will be some.

Blue Frogspawn. I'm not so good at this, so hard to get the blue effect in all its' glory. Blue with green center. Need to either move it or adjust my pump though. It gets a blast off the front of the glass and the bottom head does not like it.

Tank is coming along. Liking it since I cleaned up the sandbed. Am dealing with a little cyano and some strange bright green algae on the sand. Hopefully that goes away soon

did you by any chance stirred the sand bed when you were cleaning up? I seemed to get cyano whenever I stir up my sand bed. :(

I'm sure I did. I have kind of been battling it in certain sections for awhile. Just suck it up, but it comes back. I figured having the crowded sandbed didn't help. I'm going to do some extra maintenance this weekend maybe turn up my vortech this weekend to add a little more flow. Hopefully it goes away. Not really bothering anything, just annoying. Same thing with the strange green algae. It's in one corner of the tank, doesn't spread or bother anything, just don't really want it there. :)

Great job, where did u get the lite hanging setup at

Thank you! The light hanging tree was actually the one that was sold by Cadlights to go with the aquarium. Pretty basic, but I like it and it does the job.
