Reefs 2 Go Experience?

Wasn't too excited to see the reefs2go order come in. CUC had minimum water in bags, much better packing from reefcleaners. Frags were the same. If they got tossed around in shipping they wouldn't have made it.

So far everything has made it a opened up or crawling around. They split the order into 2 packages so when the next one comes in we'll see what happens. I'm still 50/50 on them. Prices are good.

Is true that Reefs2go are excellent about a no questions asked refund (with pics of death on their guarantee). But when the "free" replacement animals arrive dead in another package that you just spent another $32.00 on shipping for... Well, it seems to me that they need to make some changes in their packing methods.

Our critters shouldn't be treated like trash.

Will not order from them again. 1000 copepod packs were actually 2-300 Amphipods. Which my Dragonet does not eat. Also Chaeto pack had pests. Bubble algae, Digitata Hydroids and glass anemones :(

Don't care for them either ... Everything the sent was alive - but sent wrong stuff and split my order into separate orders without telling me and now wang answer phone

Overall I like them , but I definitely feel what you guys are saying. I order from them a few times a year. I've ordered a few fish like gobies and mandarins. They're mandarins are like $15 with pods, that's tough to beat even with shipping and tennessee gets a slight shipping break. But have had the same issues - little water in the bag, fouled water in the bag, haven't had any dead critters yet though. And they have some ***** zoas, but the zoas were cheap like 2-5 bucks for a frag.
I just usually catch their deals from time to time. I just ordered a 50 snail pack for 29.99 free ship, and 250 pods for 9.99 free ship. I figure at my lfs turbo snails are $6 I got 5 with the pack that was worth it right there. We will see how they fair when they arrive.

+ several more from Reefcleaners.org. they ROCK and I have had 100% success with them on several orders to my house in a rural area.

I placed an order with LiveAquaria and received it on Tuesday. My shrimp goby was DOA, as was one banded trochus (they sent me 13) and one scarlet hermit. They readily give credit, but paying shipping for 3 DOAs kinda sucks. Kinda glad I asked about Reefs 2 go...

Reefcleaners.org or reeftopia.com are the only places I would use for CUC. I've been very satisfied with both places but I order more from reeftopia. But just because I've ordered from them for years.

I was also going to add reeftopia.com to the mix. I've only ordered from Reeftopia and Reefcleaners. Both are great businesses. We used to do really large club orders from Reeftopia back in the day. Always turned out great as we got volume discounts and everything arrived healthy and happy.

I used to use reef2go as my go-to place for pods. However, once I read several pieces of bad information in their newsletter, then found out their pod system was directly tied into their fish system, my orders stopped.

For those wondering, my concern about the pod and fish system being tied in together is the risk of the spread of disease. The foam material that comes with the pods is a great place for diseases like ich to grab onto and replicate. I fully realize the risk of cross contamination is not overly high, and I don't take any risks anymore after dealing with marine velvet in 2012.

Just received my 50 snail pack from reefs2go and it was fine exactly 50 snails all seemed alive. One thing I have noticed is their "turbo snails" are not the same as what everyone else seems to sell as turbo snails around here, they are smaller and have a different shell. Also the 250 pods for $9.99 was a good deal, seemed like a lot of pods. All and all I'm pleased.

Like touching a hot stove, isn't it. It'll be awhile before you do that again. Mark, once you introduce a disease into your display it changes the way you do everything.

On a side note, I've introduced some bad pods into my tank twice from the critters live rock. These pods were rather large, similar in size and shape to a rolly-poley / potato bug. These things would attach to my fish and I suppose they would drink the fishes' blood. I killed them manually by catching the fish when I saw the pod attached to it and pulling the pod off the fish with tweezers. When I asked the critter about it they just kinda shrugged and said yeah I think someone else has said something about them also. But I will still buy rock from the critter though.

Most people fail to realize is that there is a big difference between an Amphipod and Copepod. If it's a member of your CUC you want then Amphipods are for you. But if your looking for fish food its Copepods. Reefs2Go supplies only Amphipods and yet advertises them as Copepods. That right there tells you something.

Amphipods, copepods, and isopods. Can't forget isopods... those are the nasty ones that attach to your fish (or even you, given the chance).
