Refugium light.....Is spending the big $ on Kessil worth it?

I have the A160WE tuna blue over my refugium and that was a "upgrade" from a $10 clamp light and $6 6500K bulb and I honest see no difference its been about 4 months or more now since I made the change

I don't think tuna blue is the right spectrum.

Spectrum runs from 10k-20k and can grow coral so I figure that it should be able to grow some algae, right?

Different spectrum needs. Could grow algea but not as efficient at the right spectrum

I have the mars hydro 300 w and it grows like crazy I have not used the h380 to comment cost wise but I'm not disappointed in the mars hydro I'm throwing out over a 5 gallon bucket a month with 0 nitrates a rise in ph over night as well saw decrease in algae growth in the display
