Replacing my all my rock?

Yea. That's a bummer.
Yep pull the rock and dry it.

Cycle the new stuff.

It might help in the new set up to run a bit more mechanical filtration.
Hydroids love particulates. Skimmers actually aren't that good of getting rid of them.
Do you use a lot of coral foods. Roids , coral frenzy ? They like that too
Mechanical filtration, like a canister? Do you think a UV sterilizer would help?

Yep. Or an aqua clear or reactor with floss. Whatever is convenient.
On UV , honestly don't know. Is possible it could blast them. Dunno.

So just a little hang on back aqua clear?
Yea. Pack it so it traps poo.
It's just not as efficent as a canister or reactor.

So if after a week or so you don't see build up, change the order of the floss /sponge.

What if I did the aqua clear and a reactor? What would I put in the reactor?

You could put just floss in the reactor or add gac / carbon in. The carbon will pull a lot of organics too.
