Return Pump Advice

People will nay say but “bang for the buck” you can’t go wrong with a Jebao DCP 6500 or 8000. The DC pumps start soft which is nice, they are silent, and wattage wise use far less electricity than AC pumps.

I only have Varios pumps to compare the Jebaos to. While the controller of the Varios looks nicer it’s really the same pump. The Jebaos use less watts and push more water than the comparable Varios.

I really like the Sicce Syncra Silent pumps. For your 90 gallon i'd probably do the 4.0

Its adjustable from 600 GPH to 950GPH
I have sa Sicce on my 55 this one is wide open I think I turn about 1000 and hour

The only thing abot this one is I don't like when the power goes out the pump starts but it flashes on the controller until you unlock it again

I have a jebao 8000 and 10000 and both are completely silent. I even run the 10000 external with no problems. No more adjusting valves to get the correct flow as the pump can be turned up or down. The soft start is nice and it shows the wattage drawn. Paid less than $75 for each.

I’m an EcoTech guy. l love the control ability you have with all of the flow in my tank (Return and Powerheads) through one app. So l would recommend either the S1 or the M1

Love my Eheim compact pump. Hate my Jebao. It has an odd whine that is the loudest thing on my tank and I can't get it to stop.

Sorry, no way I could ever recommend Jebao after this pump and the terrible UV sterilizer I got from them. I had to really work to not get the sterilizer to leak at the connections. Classic Jebao in my experience

Me to, I use mp10s in my display tank. Their return pumps are way to high of gallon per hour for what I need otherwise I'd have one :)

I had to go with a Current eFlux for the head pressure. I wanted a submersible with good flow at 11-12 ft head and the current was the only thing that had it.

I have the Sicce Syncra SDC 9.0 on my 240 and I love be it. 5 year no questions asked warranty and plenty of power! With any DC pump like this you can always turn them down on the controller and save energy as well as allow the pump to work easier. Just like everyone else in the past I put valves on my plumbing after the pump to regulate the flow but even then I had a feeling it was hard on the pump. With a DC pump you don’t have to worry about that. I bought mine right from Sicce for $290 shipped how could you pass that up. There’s plenty of places online that sell them to find your best deal.
