so I set everything up and I’m having trouble with my return pump it’s not wanting to pump the water all the way up the tube into the tank it just sits halfway in the tube. What would cause this? Here is a picture

What pump is it?
How high is it from the pump to the top of the tank?

Yeah that’s what I’m wondering if this line is to long because it does go down then go back up

Have you made sure there isn't air trapped in the pump itself? Have you turned it on its side then pointing the inlet upwards to let the air escape?

Few thoughts. If it is a strong enough pump it should still make it to the tank unless there is a blockage or kink.

Quick question, what pump, how high is it pumping to, is it adjustable, any blockages in the housing

Should be easy fix

  • Flow rate: 793gph
  • The Power: 55W
  • Height Max: 3.0meter
  • Dimensions: 130 x 70 x 160mm/5.1" x 2.8" x 6.3"
  • Adjustable flow rate
It is a

No I just set it up and this was my first time running it

Think you might need to disassemble and make sure the impeller isn't snagging something. I'd also take the tubing off and just run it in a bucket of water for 20-30 minutes to break it in.

It’s open and it has small bubbles coming out of it

I will mention it again as you might have missed it, while the pump is on did you make sure there is no air inside it? Turning it so the inlet is facing up will remove any trapped air if there is any...

Sorry josh yes I did try turning it

No worries I just wasn't sure if it got lost in the sea of messages lol What if you take the pump off the return line. How is the flow if you do that?

I got it to work now I’m having trouble with my overflow I tried starting the siphon with one of those aqualifters but I think I just need to add more water so I’m making some now
