Reverse Purple Hornet?

No I bought them because I could afford them. I got all 5 polyps for $18. I actually got them because of the yellow. Yellow is hard to find. I have some straight yellow zoas so I am going to put these near them so I can have the all yellow and the yellow/purples.

Someone mentioned that these look like a deep water zoanthid, and can't be a Japanese zoanthid because deep water zoanthids originate from Indonesia. I think that if you look into it, you'll find that the new "Japanese" zoanthids also originate from Indonesia. Just like the "African" blue hornets, also probably originated from Indonesia, not Africa.

pretty sure the purple hornets originated from indo but don't quote me on that one. I have the ones you got and I dont know why but they pop a lot more than my purple hornets imo, nice find nonetheless
KUPANG to be exact :nerd:

Yes, and, interestingly, most of the deepwater zoas are coming from Kupang as well. Don't believe the screwey hipe about the Japanese zoas. I know multiple importers and they all say the same thing...there is no such thing as a Japanese Zoanthid in this market. They are coming from Kupang, some from Java. This is their word. Japan is exporting some of these zoanthids, selling them to the US market, thus the "Japan" moniker, but they weren't collected from Japan. I don't know why some of the companies are trying to insist theirs come from Japan's waters. What difference does it make? Do Japanese waters make their stuff magically better?
