Real Reef Rock because I like the color. I also will have some Marco Rock as well. Both are great rock for starting a new tank and not having to worry about unwanted critters. Plus you can take your time and aquascape!

I would still cure it in a separate curing tub, no matter where it comes from, live, dead, dry, ocean-harvested, mined, man-made...you always risk algae problems down the line if you don't cure it. JMO...phosphate being the biggest issue. Put it all in a tub with power heads, a skimmer, and GFO, let bacteria do it's job, do the 3-bucket dunk process every week, the whole 9 yards. That short process will pay you back in less problems later...

About all those smallish rocks you have there. My reef is 6' long and I also had a lot of smaller rocks like that. I cemented a bunch of them together to build this 18" piece which is the backbone of my reef. I do that with all the extra rocks I have laying around because you can't really buy large rocks and they are very expensive. This way you can use roundish rocks with little character and make something more useful.
Just a suggestion.

Congrats! You still may need a chiller. I have a 300DD with LEDs and had to add a chiller this year even with the temp control in the room at 72, the tank would sometimes hit 82 in the summer and stress the SPS. Now the tank stays between 76 and 78.

My plan for the rock is just to cycle it in the tank. I have done this before with similar rock. Y'all disagree?

I agree, but I always like to do a quick acid wash after I cement my scape together.

Ill have a new build thread coming shortly with a creative structure and Ill be doing a vinegar bath on this one as well. Just piece of mind and have had no issues.

So, just soak in a vinegar solution and it kills off future phosphate issues? I have some dry rock and some rock straight out of a tank, so not wanting to kill off anything good on the wet rock. But, also don't want to bring in anything bad on the dry ones!
