Good to hear. I thought maybe I was doin something wrong. Or my water had something crazy goin on lol. Guess it just needs to build up a slime coating inside or something.
They say it's from the residuals and oils in the skimmer from the manufacturing. Takes time to get worked out of the skimmer. I really like it though. Super easy to clean the chamber

Ha thanks man. Idk if I'd say superb but I like the look. And good eye! I did change it a little. Not much. Trying to keep the aquascape natural and suttle. Let the corals do the showing off. And nice choice of light! What're you using currently? You buy two of them? I really enjoy my reef radiance lights
Yea I bought two I have no lights right now still just starting the cycle hopefully they won't be too long to get here. I wanted these because eventually gonna by an apex but as for now I can control them with my phone. How cool. So did you run Gfo to help with the hair algae or did it just run its course with clean up chaeto and water changes?
Actually I made some ro/di water and scrubbed it off about 90%. Cleanup crew keeps it under control now. That and I lowered my main lights to 11 hrs a day and my refugium lights to 20
