Risky reef fish

Sargassum Fish...
Can eat anything anywhere close to his size in one gulp...
Literally a stomach with fins...

Mine has to be a Tomini tang, he harasses to death any new fish although he is still small-med size. Latest victim was a blue spot jawfish that had tons of personality and one day chased him around a 425 gallon tank until he couldn’t take any more and jumped out out of a 2”x2” opening. Too smart for a trap or mirrors to distract his aggression. But a model citizen with existing tank mates

In my case was a Tomato clown pair that kept me from buying more fish. When I bought a new aquarium I separated them for a few weeks (each in a different aquarium) so I can start adding new fish in the new one. They change after that and live happily for more than eleven years. I would say that my second mention was the Bicolor Dottyback, very aggressive, fast & furious, oh! and impossible to chatch. Remove everything on the tank and couldn't find it so I start inspecting all rocks (that were out of the tank!) and after a while I found him ind a small hole that still contain water, alive and kicking so put in in a bag and out to the fish store.

I just put one in quarantine about 3 hours ago. He's in with some small gobies, dartfish, and tilefish. I think after a prophylactic copper treatment, I'll put him in the coral/invert quarantine tank and observe him for a time. Not sure how indicative of his future behavior in the main tank that will be, but I do know I'm rolling the dice a bit, regardless.
I’ve had a flame angel that’s been in two tanks with me for 6 years and he’s a model citizen. So they are definitely individual.

As an interesting side note, I had an Eibl's angel on order with the Flame, but I didn't receive it as the retailer was concerned about its health. I had an Eibl's many years ago in a fish only tank, and he is an old favorite, but the more I considered the cautionary statements about Eibli in reef tanks, the more I regretted ordering him. I was prepared to give him a try regardless, but now it seems fortuitous that it didn't show up. Perhaps if I set up a fish only tank in a few years...

ya, the Tomini tang I have is similar. Killed two other fish (midas blenny forced to jump out 1/2" crack and yellow wrasse via harassment). Recently I added a leopard wrasse, but put him in a QT for 6 weeks that was up against the DT, which seemed to help. The Tomini bugged him a bit when added, but they seem to be doing OK together.

I have a red lined wrasse named Risky but I don't think that's what you meant lol.

Of course she didn't get the name by accident. When she first went into the tank she liked to pop astraea snails off the rocks. Never took it any further than that but there was a time where I wondered if I would be able to keep smaller snails. And the nassarius snails never come out during the day anymore. She had a good standoff with a peppermint shrimp over an algae pellet one day. But really she's been a good citizen.

Queen angel in predominately SPS reef. So far been great. Likes pellets once they hit the bottom. Other is Potters Angel. Is the peacemaker in that it gets between other fish that show aggression towards each other.
