RO/DI vs RO to drink

Eh.. here is how my drinking water and 0 TDS for reef is set up. Have had it like this for many many years.
Line in
Stage 1 (1 micron filter)
Stage 2 ( .5 micron carbon filter)
Stage 3 (.5 micron carbon filter)
Auto valve
Stage 4 RO membrane
auto valve
Then to the grey valve with the yellow handle
Handle flipped to the left send RO filtered water to auto valve and to
stage 4 (mineral cartridge)
To pressure tank for storage.
From tank to a line in carbon cartridge before hitting the RO faucet for awesome coffee and drinking water

handle flipped to the right sends RO water to
Stage 4 (di cartridge PO4)
Stage 5 (di cartridge silicate)
0 TDI water for reef exits from small 1/4” line.

Hope that helps. I would not drink DI water. No minerals = zero taste profile

the only thing I have considered changing is running everything the di and adding the mineral cartridge afterwards.

A simple valve that diverts water from the last carbon filter to a collection container for drinking water. After collecting your drinking water, open the valve back up to allow water to continue to the DI unit. If you look on most "Spring water" bottles you purchase at the store, it will tell you that it is "Filtered by Reverse Osmosis (RO)"

Do you have a check valve in place such that water from the RO pressure tank never makes it to the DI?

yes, i have check valves on all four entry / exit point of the auto valve (also regulates the pressure so the valve functions properly) one on the DI side (not really needed but that way i can be sure) and another on right by where the supply line for the holding tank connects (also just in case since that is actually 2 check valves on the same line).
