Rock flower anemone help

If they're touching, then it's more likely that's the issue aside from the addition of carbonates too quickly. Just being close or in the same system is rarely an issue.
True but I was just wondering if the LTA is close to the rock flower and if that could be another issue . Doesn’t hurt to ask right ?

Why chase ph. Ph buffers are more problems than they are worth. Keen in mind ph buffer is not only raising your ph but also your alk

Sounds like you could have burned the nem if the buffer was not fully in solution. I made that rookie mistake once with my alk solution. Didn't realize the soda ash wasn't fully dissolved and some fell directly onto a couple euphyllia and burned the crap out of them

Not at all. I feel bad for my LTA. he had parked himself at the bottom of a rock and was really enjoying himself. Then I added a tiger goby. Well, the tiger goby decided to make his home underneath that rock and evicted my LTA..lol

Hi everyone, here is an updated pic of my RFA. He seems more open today. I did lower my light spectrum and increased more flow towards his area. Not sure if that helped or if in fact hes made a full recovery from the additives I added to the tank.

Please dont use that stuff to change pH. Its unnecessary if ou use a quality salt mix.

What brand of salt mix is considered good quality? I'm only 2 months in this hobby and I am using Instant Ocean? I think my PH lowered a bit because I used distilled water. I just got back from a 2 week vacation. I left dechlorinated tap water in 1 gallon containers to replace evaporated water. I bought distilled water too, in case those ran out, which it did. About 3 gallons was used of distilled water.

Instant Ocean is fine. IMO Distilled water is better then treated tap water for top off. Neither will cause any serious problems. It is a young tank and it will find it's levels. Just maintain regular water change schedules and don't chase PH & Alk.

RFAs are totally different than Bubble Tips and the others. They are really Hardy and easy to care for. It should come back, might just be a while . Your Calcium is pretty low, might look at gradually bringing that up. I have a RFA garden in the front corner with 6 of them. All I do is feed them about once a week some Mysis Shrimp. They like light and to be left alone. It's hard to tell from your pics the condition it's in.

Hes fine and has moved to another rock. Unfortunately, I bought a new rock and would like to move him out of that one. Hes not budging. Beautiful RFA's. I've been increasing my calcium over 2-3 weeks. it was at 280 when I started. I've got it up to 360. takes time

I think many of us started with Instant Ocean. I had been using Aquaforest for the last 2 years. Just started switching over to Red Sea Coral Pro.

I have had one of my nems skirt kind of come off. It is one nem I have that was orginally big. now it is always in a rock crevice yet the rest are looking good. I would give it some time and see how it does. When ever you are doing any increases try to do it gradually. I use instant ocean and have had no issues. Here is a pic of how my nems look.
