Very nice tank,

What is the brand of LEDs you have?

How high off the water do you keep them?

do you run the LEDs full strength or do you have them dialed back?

Can you post a link to the leds your bought too please?

Hi ,
When you say You run air injection every 3 hours for 2 minutes during the lights on period.
What do you Mean? How do tou accomplish this ??
Shuu I wanna try it too.

Thanks

Janey
I have a air pump attached to a digital timer. There's a wood air stone attached to the bottom of the strainer on my return with a rubber band when the air pump kicks on it fills my tank with micro bubbles.

The LED's I use are China brand ToaTronics from ebay black box non dimmable version around 15" above the tank.

Mono's from the fresh water section.

Beautiful tank! Can you explain a little more about the air injection and what benefits you see from it?
I have found many benefits to air injection I really would not run a tank without it here are the 3 main reasons I run it. 1. it helps keep PH up by driving out the CO2 in the water column 2. it picks up detritus from all over the tank and carries it out the overflows and down to the skimmer. 3. it causes the corals to slime and aids in cleaning I also believe it aids in pest control by doing this as well.

I don't have a video of the air injection on this tank but heres a few vids from my other tanks that have used it.

I have tried them lower but I like them higher I can get into the tank easier and has a cleaner look where they are at at this time I'm getting around 800 to 600 Par around the top areas of corals where most of the sps r at down to 125 at the sand bed as low as 80 the farther I go towards the viewing panel with much lower numbers in the shaded or shadow areas where I keep my chalices and lowlight corals

Thanks. When mine were higher (12 inches) I had around 50 PAR on the floor, but I had mine dimmed a tad bit. You've really got me considering that LEDs have what I need and no need to go back. Keep up the awesome work. Btw, what lights are over the frag tank?

I finally made a video I'm not to happy with it though. I had to turn off my blue LED's just to get it to record decent so the color is not so great and its got a ugly 10k kind of look. Hope you guys enjoy I'm learning my new camera so hopefully better vids will come in the future.
