Rodi for the money

My unit has the exact same Dow Filmtec 99% rejection rate RO membrane that the similar SpectraPure has. It has the same sediment and carbon blocks too. DI is a bit different. 0 TDS for more than a year... don't know a unit that cost 2 or 3 times as much could be any better.

I do not have to fight any chloramines. Good luck to those that do.
So you run Spectrapure sediment and carbon blocks and Dow Filmtecs. I think this point has been made. Spectrapure is the best, hands down, but you don’t need the steel and plastic skeleton they sell with a gauge to achieve those results.(a pressure gauge is critical and anyone telling you otherwise has no idea what they’re talking about) You can run their filters in any housing. Your 0 TDS for more than a year has less to do with your unit, your membranes or your filters, than it does your local water supply. And chloramines are easily dealt with if they’re not exponentially out of whack. It’s C02 that is the real horror of DI, which lucky me, I have to deal with in my municipal tap.

I am very, very happy with this system from Amazon. It seems the company is a leader in the industry. Best wishes! :)

You will want a pressure gauge when need to solve pressure problems. An ro unit with low pressure doesnt work correctly. Also youll want an inline tds meter if your curious if its working and rejecting like it should. And youll love to see how dirty your sediment filter gets by having clear canisters and having a visual observation of when to change it. Get those three and your good to go.

dMiles...I second that suggestion...I've owned a couple of those vertex units over the yrs...they are GREAT
