RODI needed ?

I'm not sure what the booster kit includes but if it includes the power supply and the cut off switch then yes, then you can put a float shut off on your r.o containers and this will stop the pump from constantly running when water level is full.

Gotcha , thank you

So here’s my alternative , the sink should have enough psi to run the rodi unit alone. Only thing is I would have to drill a hole through the garage wall which is also behind this sink.

I just am not sure if I would hit a pipe or electrical as this is right where the water heater is on the other side .

Any way I can be 100% sure ?

Booster is ideal regardless, even if your pressure is coming out of that sink at 60psi. RO membranes are pressure driven so more pressure will increase your efficiency and produce water quicker.

I drill holes in walls all the time take a few measurements double check and use a small long bit and go slow use some feel, when you drill and hope for the best :) a small pin hole could help wors case you put some drywall repair in it and move over a few inches.

I run two membranes in the water saving configuration, one 1 micron prefilter, 2 carbon block chlorine blasters , one silicate removal cartridge . Two Deionization canisters and powered through a high pressure booster pump to give me a 1:1 use/ waste ratio resulting at zero TDS at 75 - 79 psi . I have the unit shut off automatically at 80 psi . It’s a system that I put together from AQUAFX in longwood Florida . First I would get your water tested and find out what you need to remove . I actually thinking about running a UV light for my made water container as well .

Trying to figure out if I can get away with 4 or 5 stage RODI or if I have to get a 6 stage.

I want the 75gpd 5stage premium plus from BRS

My TDS is 285 from my hose outside and
0.1-.5 total chlorine

.3-.6 copper

Thoughts ?

a 4 stage will work for you just fine, assuming you don't have chloramine.
Sediment filter->Carbon block->RO->DI

So just an update , thank you guys for all the info

I don’t have chloramines in my water but I bought a 5stage premium plus RODI from BRS and a rodi boostsr just for efficiency , regardless if I get enough psi or not.

Still looking to what I should use for storage containers as the ones I want would cost me $800 out the door to have shipped here which is crazy

Cut a metal coat hanger with a tin snips on an angle and drill slow. Stud finder with metal option is also not too expensive to make sure you don’t hit a pipe.
